Memorial Day came around. Audrey wanted to go to the mall with Daniel, so we met him there and I invited Sid.
We see them in the food court and I notice there is one chair next to Daniel, Audrey sits there. Jeremy motions me to the seat between him and Sid. I blush slightly and sit.
It's kind of boring in the beginning, but at one point Sid sits next to me and puts his arm around me. I get that rush. The same rush I got about a month ago when I first met Gale, and he held my hand at the movies. He's dating someone now though.
And let me just say, the rush is amazing. It kind of let me understand why fuck boys like Gale always messed around with girls. It was still messed up though. Jeremy and Daniel kept trying to get Sid to hold my hand the whole time.
That night, I decided to be straight up with Sid. I tell him that I like him, and ask if he feels the same way. "It's complicated..." He replied. I asked how and he tells me about this other girl he was planning on asking out tomorrow at school.
I got angry- so angry that I just sent a screen shot to Audrey and went straight to bed. There was always someone else. Always a better girl. And it wasn't fair.
The next two days dragged on as I constantly checked his status, trying to figure out if he had a girlfriend yet. But Jeremy tells me that Sid hasn't shown up to school in a week.
I heard that Sid misses a lot of school and I wondered how he got away with it. I sighed, laid across my bed and started watching a YouTube video.
But then I got a snapchat notification saying "Sid is typing" I instantly sit up to check my messages. It says hey. I say hi back and to keep my cool.
And the next message was one that I wouldn't forget- he asked me out. I called up Audrey right away and then typed "I thought you liked someone else" He replied saying that she didn't care about him. So I said yes.
I am normally the type of person who would hook up with someone I didn't know that well, but it was like a now or never type of thing so I thought why the hell not. I couldn't stop blushing and smiling. Audrey was excited for me too and we decided to go on a double date this Friday.
Things were finally looking up for me, until the next day. Sid started ignoring me. It was followed by him blocking me on Snapchat, Kik, Instagram and even my phone number.
That wasn't the worst part though. Him and Daniel met at the park the next night and hurt each other badly.
