A New Fight

Archie's POV

Maxie seemed very, very upset about his loss (even though it was obvious that I would win the moment I stepped into the base), almost like a child would be after losing a game of tag, and being punched didn't help his attitude. I scooped up Kara and made Maxie release her from being under his control. "Stay out of my base, Magma Scum, and I'll stay out of yours." I hissed through my teeth as I carried Kara back to my base, holding her close to me. I layed her down in my bed and sprayed her with a max heal to help her recover from battle quicker. "Might as well continue trying to find where Kyogre could be sleeping..." I mumbled, with my friend resting up I had some more time to work on my plans to flood the world. I sat on my couch, pulling off my bandana to finger comb my hair and looked through the papers thrown on my table and wrote possible locations where Kyogre may be.

After about an hour of work and staring at the blue orb I heard a soft, sleepy sounding "Archie...?" From Kara, who was beyond exhausted. "Yeah?" I looked over at my friend and smiled, her hair was a mess but she looked rather adorable after she had just woken up. "What happened?? Why am I so tired?" She sat up and swung her feet over the side of the bed to look at me better, rubbing her eyes like a small child after a nap. "Oh uh, Maxie captured you, and used you against me. He wanted to use you for his stupid plan to get rid of the ocean, like the manipulative scum he is. We had to fight," I frowned for a quick second before continuing to speak, "and I won and was able to bring you back!" I smiled, hoping to lighten the mood that I had made gloomy. "Oh... well, thanks for not letting him ruin the environment." She smiled and came to sit next to me, throwing an arm around my shoulders and looking at my work.

"Well, I had to stop him if I'm gonna expand the sea to make it better. It just happened to work out that I ended up saving you as well!" I glanced at what she was wearing, a Team Magma hoodie. I felt disgusted that she hadn't taken it off when she could do things on her own will again."Uh, you might wanna take that off by the way." Kara looked down at herself and shrugged. "It's cozy, and one of the admins is really nice." I glared, was she serious?! "Kara. Take that off. You're not stuck there anymore." "No, it's mine! I like it!" She stuck her tongue out at me, I sighed and just gave up. I don't want to fight her again, maybe I'd steal it and throw it away in her sleep. "Also, no offense Archie, but flooding the world is a dumb idea." "What do you mean?! You live in water, you should be happy. I'm not doing it on my own, Kyogre's gonna help me!"

Kara gave me a 'What the fuck are you thinking?' look. "That's even worse! People and pokemon are gonna die because of that!" "What? Are you on Team Magma's side now?! Small Islands will still be there, I have subs for us and the rest of Team Aqua, just help me with this. All I need to do is get Kyogre to wake up and help me." I was close to yelling at my close friend, and I hated it. "Archie, you fucking idiot. Don't you care about the people who will drown? Small Islands aren't gonna be able to keep every pokemon that lives on land. They'll all drown too! Please think about everyone. The world is fine as it is. Just leave it alone, land and ocean aren't meant to fight..." I didn't want to have to get in an arguement with Kara, but she's insulting my dream. "You know, I wanted to flood the world to find you, then I thought of the good it could do. People have boats, Pokemon can adapt. Why can't you just trust me?" "Maybe I'd trust you if your plan wasnt gonna hurt people and pokemon. Maxie's dumb too, people and pokemon will die if he gets what he wants, but what you want isn't good either." I stood up, the more she told me that I shouldn't be flooding the world, the more I felt myself getting frustrated. "Maxie's gonna get rid of what people drink! If I get expand the sea there's still gonna be tons of water and food! Instead of calling me an idiot why don't you think of the good all the water can do!!" Kara didn't seem to like me yelling at her, I get very loud when I'm angry and not even my own team likes it. "Squirtles need beaches to lay eggs on, they can't do that if the islands you plan on leaving are over populated. Everyone's gonna fight for food on the island, they're gonna end up killing each other! I'm not on anyone's team, I'm on my own team!" I rolled my eyes, some team! "Good luck with your 'team' if you don't have any admins or grunts." Kara grinned. "My team is winning, because everyone can live and everything is working how it should." "No fair!! Youre not even trying!" Kara giggled, now amused at my frustration, "It is fair, I just don't have to try, and you can join my team if you want, just stop trying to expand the sea and help keep Maxie from getting rid of the sea! It's worth it, I promise!" She smiled warmly at me. I gritted my teeth, all my work would just be sent down the drain! But at the same time, it's not worth losing my closest friend. I sighed, "I...I'm gonna go see if Matt wants to help me work. Please take off and get rid of that horrible hoodie, I can't stand looking at it." Before Kara had the chance to say anything, I left to find Matt as soon as possible. I don't have time to fight my closest friend when I'm so very close to finding Kyogre and making the world a better place, even if Kara thinks it's an absolutely idiotic plan... I can't give up everything I've done to get to this point. Not for anything in the world.
