Bursting with envy (aruani/Armin x Christa)

Chapter 8

Ymir's POV

I held the 6 foot reptile in my hands as it gently wrapped around my waist for the extra support.

"Come on Ymir lets get this show on the road. Armin and Christa are over there by food stand grabbing samples." Annie remarked while pointing at the two blondes.

"Alright, alright. Follow my lead then." I declared as I sneaked behind a couple buildings to avoid drawing attention, and Annie pursued.

I swifly got Zak to loosen up around both my hips and arms in order for this plan to go accordingly. As we approached the meat stand I saw the two blue eyed teens eating and staring at one another with a blush.

"Ok snake, do what you do best and scare the living hell out of them." I announced, carefully releasing Zak from my grip and letting him wonder into the shack in Armin's direction.

"No regrets now." Annie quietly sighed as she placed her fingernails against her lips impatiently.

"Listen up. The second they see that snake, we jump in and 'save' them from the horrific creature. Then they'll see us as their savior and be swooning into our arms in no time, guarantee." I implied, blushing to thought of Christa being in my arms.

"Sounds perfect!" the girl with faded blue irises agreed

We grinned at each other then diverted our attention towards the pair. I noticed the snake emerging into plain sight, I was surprised that no one had seen it yet since it was a bright mustard color. Both Armin and Christa were too busy savoring their food before realizing the true hazard that was near. A few moments passed by until I knew Christa had seen the reptile. Her face grew pale, her eyes widen and finally she shouted.

"ARMIN WATCH OUT!!" She squealed.

The blonde boy was still eating but when he saw Zak, a piece of meat got lodged in his throat and so he began to choke.

"Annie this is our cue, lets go" I swiftly sprinted towards Christa with Annie trailing me.

I was only moments away from the beautiful goddess being in my arms, but I quickly approached the girl, another pair of strong arms grasped me and wrapped around my lower back with a firm squeeze. My head laid on their muscular chest, I could feel their heart racing. It was unknown who had captured me. I briefly looked up only to spot twinkling green orbs looking down on me.

"Bertholdt!? Is that you?" my shocked voice uttered.

"Ymir, I've been searching for you all morning. I didn't think to find you here." the tall, tan boy spoke in a flustered way.

"Yeah, sorry about that but me and Annie are on a mission right now."

"Hmm seems like Annie's got it covered." murmured bertholdt as I peered over my shoulder and saw Annie giving Armin the Heimlich maneuver.

"What do you say about getting out of here and finally going out on our date--I mean hangout!" Bertholdt fumbled with his words.

I looked back at Annie who seemed to have just save Armin's life then Bert. He had a huge smile plastered on his flushed face. I did promise him and Annie that I would ditch our hangout.

"Yeah that seems fine, but the snake. I'll right back." I said before dashing away.

"Hey everyone, don't be afraid of the boa he's friendly see. My bad for the scare I gave you, I won't let him out of my sight again." I pretended to play the plan off as an accident.

"Its fine ymir. I know you meant no harm." said Christa with a sweet smile.

"Hey Armin. I had a great today but I really think you should go back to the camp if you're not feeling well. I can take you" the cute girl offered Armin.
