Chapter 15: High School Relationships

Rant Chapter.

Relationships are not everything you need in life. They are not important. You want to know what is important? Your friends. Your friends are so important because while you are out with your significant other ignoring someone you call your best friend that friend is slowly fading away without you even realizing it. She is getting sick of playing this game. She is so sick and tired of having to chase you and beg for you to pay attention to her for a single second. She is sick of feeling like she has to choose. Then he finally talks to her and questions her about what is wrong and why she is acting different because he does not see it. He does not realize that she has been replaced with the new friends because he does not realize his mistake. She is the girl so all the problems are automatically her fault right? That is just how it works right? The girls get blamed for all the issues because every girl is just being over dramatic. Well let me tell you this time it is not her fault. She is not taking the fall for it this time. There is nobody to blame but himself. He knew how she felt about this before he let anything happen, before things got serious. But no he did not give a flying shit cause she is just the annoying best friend that is just getting in the way of what he wants. She is just that annoying best friend who does not want to give up her best friend apparently. The annoying best friend who refuses to share or accept the fact that he can have other friends. You see he does not realize that she is trying to protect you from being hurt because she wishes that maybe people would have told her to be careful. That someone would have warned her that she is making a big mistake before she did it. Regardless it is still her fault so she is supposed to apologize right? She is supposed to be the one who sends a long message saying it is all her fault and explaining how sorry she is. But you know what? Not this time. This time she is not apologizing for something she did not do. She has done that way too many times. The amount of times that she has apologized for reacting to something that you did cannot even be counted. This time she knows better. You can grow a pair and do it for once. It would not kill you to admit that you are not right. That this your wrong doing. She is waiting, waiting for you to realize that she is trying to fight for you guys. But sometimes holding onto the rope does more damage than just letting go. This is why she is confused. She does not know which is hurting her worse. She wants to have a relationship with you but the relationship you guys have now is killing her. Her heart is telling her that it is better for her to just let go to stop the pain. But her brain, her brain is smarter than that, her brain knows she cannot just leave because she cares too much. She cares about the promise she made to you about never leaving. Maybe that is why it is so troubling because she cares, sometimes too much and it always ends up biting her in the ass. Do not be the guy to help her prove that every time she cares a lot she gets hurt. So far it is not looking to hot for you. Please just realize that you are killing her and there is nothing she can do about it. Please help her and tell her what you want because the signals you are sending her are so mixed up that she is not even sure you know what you want.
