Chapter 16: Love Isn't Free

Rant Chapter.

Important Background Knowledge:
Alright so my beautiful best friend had made a piece of artwork in art class that expressed her support for LGBT pride being as she is part of the LGBT+ community. One of the obnoxious males in my class took a picture of her artwork that her teacher had hung from the ceiling with everybody else's and said "Didn't know they hung shit from the ceiling." We being good friends decided to show her what this male had said about her work and it ruined her entire day. Me being a great friend marched right up to him and confronted him about him hurting her feelings.

Rant:
Now you may think it was wrong for me to go up to him because of the fact that he's allowed to have his opinion. Yes you are allowed to have your opinion and I am not trying to change anybody's mind at all. What most homophobic people do not understand is what they say to people can hurt these people. Yes you can have your opinion but is there no need to bash these people just because their opinion is not yours. Just because they don't like a certain sex or both sexes does not mean they do not have feelings. It does not mean they are not affected by the horrible things you say when you think they cannot hear you. When you think they do not know you are talking crap about them. Another individual told me it was his right to bash on my other friend because he is gay. No no you do not "have a right" to bash on him. If you believe that bullying is not okay why is it any different? Again, they are still people. They still breathe air. They still have a beating heart filled with emotion. See I do not see why being LGBT+ is such a big deal because they are not trying to make you become apart of the LGBT+ community they are trying to make you see that they are human too. On another note, y'all need to stop saying "Oh that band is gay." Gay is not a synonym for shitty. If you think something is shitty tell the world it is shitty. My question to you is do you pick who you fall in love with? Do you sit there and say I want to love that person and you just fall in love with them? You do not. People fall in love with people not gender. Homosexuality is not unnatural. All forms of love are natural regardless of who someone loves. You cannot stop loving someone no matter how hard you try. Most people talk about how love is free and you can love you who you want. Is it really free when you are bashing someone for who they love as if they have a choice? Love is not free.

Note: I am not trying to offend anyone and this is just my opinion so do not comment your hate on my book because I probably won't care anyways. Also this is a rant chapter so it is supposed to be more all over the place.
