Samantha's POVIf the night of the party never happened, if Jack had never cheated on me, if I haven't ran away and met Mr.SexyFreak when I almost fell, then probably I wouldn't be as nervous and frightened as I was right now.
But these are just what if's...things that could have occurred, but didn't. A useless, powerless phrase people love to use to feel more miserable thinking about what's impossible now.
But it happened. It all did. And even though I would want to, I don't have the power to rewind time. Here I was. There he was.
My breath got caught up in my throat. It was really him. I recognized him, even though I didn't look at him last night at the alley because of the stupid mask he was wearing. I recognized his hair. His beautiful dark hair that now I could see clearly. Black straight hair. He was like a Greek god. I couldn't see his eyes though; he was too far away. But I was sure they were just like last night; that deep blue color that had me mesmerized.
My eyes traveled from his hair, to his eyes, to his lips, jaw and down his body. He was wearing a dark blue t-shirt with a black jacket in top and black jeans. Just like a clique teenage high school bad boy.
We were still staring at each other.
My heart was pumping loudly, but then he looked behind me, and I realized he was looking at Jack. All I saw was amusement dancing in his captivating eyes as he looked back at me and raised an eyebrow, as if silently asking, "Did you caused that?"
I gulped and soon the room felt hotter. He could see my nervous state, I was sure of it, because he then smirked evilly.
What could he be thinking? I snorted. Probably that I'm crazy.
I tore my eyes away from his; my heart racing up as if wanting to explode in any second from now.
"Mrs. Miller, please come to my office now. We'll discuss this in a moment." Mr. Hawkins commanded in a serious tone.
I immediately walked away from Sarah, towards both of them.
I heard the minion leader behind me say, "You're going down, Miller."
I was tempted to flip her off, but I didn't want to get in more trouble than I was already. Besides, she was not worth my time.
My legs were shaky, I couldn't control them and I was worried to fall in the middle of the cafeteria in front of HIM.
As I passed HIS side, I looked to the ground, but I could sense him staring at me even as I continued walking leaving them behind.
I still felt his gaze following me as my own shadow when I made my way to the door of the cafeteria. When I was about to pass through it and continue down the hall, I barely heard his voice.
"If you excuse me, sir, I have to use the bathroom."
Oh .My. God.
His voice! It's intimidating. Really, really intimidating. I know I just heard him talk yesterday, but damn his voice. I shuddered. Brings me chills when he speaks. The reason? I don't know! All I know it's that his voice is deep and scary. I wanted to hear him speak again. Wait, what did I just think? No. I hate him. I hate him since the moment he came through this cafeteria. No. I hate him since the moment I heard his steps yesterday and he walked towards me.
Should I say something to anyone? Should I tell Mr. Hawkins that I saw him yesterday?
I couldn't hear what Mr. Hawkins answered him, because he was too far trying to calm Sarah from having a fit.
