My feet quickly moved at a fast pace along the concrete pavements as my eyes glanced, nervously at the silver watch, securely wrapped around my wrist. My eyes widened at the time, making the situation worse as my converse shoes moved faster against the over populated pavement, unfortunately causing many accidental bumps along the way. After my little marathon, a sense of relief calmed my wrecking nerves as the familiar cursive letters came in contact with my, now relieved eyes. Standing awkwardly in front of the welcoming iron doors, I swiftly neatened the articles which adorned my body before taking a quick breath, entering the laid back building only for my nostrils to be filled with the soothing aroma of freshly made coffee as well as the mouth-watering pastries which laid peacefully on the dessert shelves. Making my way past the many booths, my eyes caught the familiar, chocolate, curls which belonged to no other than my British bestie, Harry. As my body inched closer towards his booth, my lips couldn't help but break out into a grin as my curly haired friend was unaware of my late presence.
"Boo!" I whispered into his ear, causing his head to snap in my direction.
"I knew it was you!" he exclaimed, followed by his signature dimpled smile.
"Yea right..." I sassed, playfully rolling my eyes as I took a seat opposite from him.
"Don't you dare sass me young lady!" he stated, trying to act serious but horribly failing. Due to this action, I couldn't help but break out into a fit of giggles, only for his to later join me. I'm sure we were probably getting weird stares but honestly, we could both care less about others' opinions.
"Ok, I'm good now." I stated, slowly composing myself as my hand lay dramatically on my chest. When we were both calmed, no one spoke, leaving us in a peaceful atmosphere, faint chatter surrounding us. When my eyes aimlessly drifted towards Harry, his eyes were glued towards me, a hint of adoration in his emerald green eyes. Staring back at him with curious eyes, I decided to speak up, breaking the peaceful air.
"How long are we going to keep doing this for?" I asked, a hint of sadness laced in my voice.
"Doing what?" he responded, clearly confused by my sudden question.
"Our little coffee shop rendezvous?" I replied, nervously playing with my fingers as I awaited his answer. However, all I got was a sigh and a pitiful face. Due to this action, I felt my emotions acting up as my eyes burned, tears forming in my saddened eyes.
"I don't understand what it is that made them hate each other so much. You know what? If our parents want to act immature, let them act but that doesn't mean we can't see each other freely. It's so unfair!" I stated, my tears no longer staying in my eyes as they flowed down my cheeks in a graceful manner. Before I knew it, a familiar warm presence was now seated beside me, engulfing me into a side hug, as I was gently pulled into Harry's chest. His soft hands gently stroked my hair as he planted kisses onto my head, keeping me securely in his arms.
"You and I both know that no matter what we do, we can't change them nor their hate towards each other. Yes, it's unfair but once we're no longer under their roofs, we can see each other however we want, whenever we want." He whispered, laying his head on mine as we remained in that comfortable position till the waitress arrived with our warm beverages. Before I could inquire he hushed me before speaking.
"We've been besties for the longest while, I know your favourite so I ordered for you." He said before quickly thanking the waitress and slowly breaking out of our comfy position, both of us reaching out for our steamy drinks.
"I guess you're right. We just have to live like this for a couple months but for now, we'll be like sneaky ninjas and have our coffee shop rendezvous." I said, a smile playing on my lips on to get his dimpled smile in return.
"I like the sound of that." He smirked, playfully winking only for us to both burst out into another fit of giggles.
