11 Hours

New Year Eve 2013

Next time I saw him It was New Year's Eve and everyone was over partying. I was however being the antisocial nerd I was sitting in the back room on the couch with my legs crossed snuggled in a blanket and reading my book. I was determined to finish it by the end of the night. It was a great book the fault in our stars to be exact after all it had been out for a while so I finally decided to read it.

While I was in my own world reading I could stop picturing Tyler I mean what was it that was so special about him. I couldn't figure it out I mean I didn't understand why when he talked my heart raced like I've been running a marathon. I was wondering if he was here yet I mean why haven't I seen him but I guess I wouldn't see him cause he was more a party type of course he was out there probably dancing with all the other girls.

Through out the party no one really paid attention to the me or went out of their way to talk to me, but for some strange reason he did. I was reading away into my book when out of the corner of my eye I'd see him appearing and try to hide the grin that was appearing on my face.

He would every once and a while come sit with me and check in on me. While everyone else wasn't concerned with the quiet girl reading the book he was. Every time he'd come over I would be left speechless by his gorgeous eyes that seemed to pull me in and his amazing personality. He'd ask "how my book was" I would reply nonchalantly  "it's good", and when I'm rushing to finish my book he would make jokes like "hey you better finish your book today or it will disappear" or "easy tiger you'll tear up the book if you flip through any faster" I felt this warm sensation in my body and this fuzzy feeling in my heart that I hadn't felt before it was nice to know someone cared.

As the night was coming to a close I decided to walk over to were the party was and put down my book as we watched the New Years countdown, it got kinda boring so I started to wonder to the window and I was stunned by the moonlight night it was a Dazzling scene.

I could hear the countdown in the background 10...9...8....7....6...5...4..3..2. And just before midnight hit on New Years Tyler jumped out in front of me taking me in shock and kissed me on the cheek, I felt a rush of heat go straight to my face and my cheeks turned rose red, my heart beat raced and my palms started to sweat, I could see the moonlight in the background it truly was a moment I would remember forever.
