Part 15: The Nitty Gritty [Short Dialogue]

No Point of View (conversation between Leo and Elisha after dinner same day as the previous chapter. Well read on.)

Leo: "Can we be best friends for a moment?"

Elisha: "When aren't we?"

Leo: "No, like seriously that don't judge or get mad at me, best friends type junk."

Elisha: "What are you talking about?"

Leo: "Promise you won't get mad at me?

Elisha: "I can't promise that, I'm too emotional. What's going on, what did you do?"

Leo: "If you can't promise that, promise me you won't be mad at me for too long, okay?"

Elisha: "Okay, but you're scaring me Leo."

Leo: "Okay what?"

Elisha: "Okay I won't be mad at you for too long."

Leo: "More than a day is too long."

Elisha: "Okay than I won't be mad at you for more than a day, now what trouble did you get yourself in?"

Leo: "..."

Elisha: "Leo."

Leo: "I kinda know why that guy stopped talking to you."

Elisha: "Wait, what, Kelly? Why?"

Leo: "Well..."

Elisha: "Leo, tell me."

Leo: "..."

Elisha: "What did you do?"

Leo: "I kinda sent some really messed up stuff to him."

Elisha: "Stuff? What kind of stuff?! Why?!"

Leo: "Just some pictures of us and some easily misinterpreted texts. I didn't actually expect him to wuss out and just be a b**ch to you. Just you know back off."

Elisha: "But why Leo? How could you?! And what for?!"

Leo: "I don't know I guess 'cuz of Melody and your Aunt-"

Elisha: "My Aunt? What does she have to do with Melody? Or Kelly for that matter?!"

Leo: "..."

Elisha: "LEO!"

Leo: "Look, that day, I was doing a lot of thinking and well I realized some stuff."

Elisha: "Please explain faster than you are 'cuz you making my nerves bad."

Leo: "... Melody and I were never what you and I are and your Aunt was saying that to me on the phone. I don't know I guess Melody's foul ways rubbed off on me and I did what I did to Kelly. Look I'll go fix it. Just please don't hate me cuz of this."

Elisha: "..."

Leo: "Yeah, I guess I do deserve the silent treatment. But I honestly didn't have control of what I was doing. My thumbs have minds of their own."

Elisha: "..."

Leo: "Wait, was that a smile? So there is hope for me! I'll straighten out everything with Kelly tomorrow I promise. Mwah, I love you Elisha. I'm sorry I butted into something I had no right to. But I will fix it. Good night and remember you promised that tomorrow you won't be mad at me."

Author's Note:

This format is new and kind of uncomfortable for me so Dialogue only Passages won't be used often, it was with the intent to heighten the dramatics of the scene you just read.

Also on the topic of story format, I see you guys are rooting for a dancers romance and none of y'all care for the contract. Well I'm putting its existence out there especially since I started this story with the contract being the main plotting grounds. Well on with the fun, comments are encouraged!
