Science, farmers and dirt. Oh my!

Quick noty thingy : I edited the last chapter a bit cause a bit sort of deleted itself. its just Lewis' P.O.V though, so you don't have to read anything else. and feel free to tell me if anything in this chapter is incorrect, I'm going off of Kim's apprentice series to get an idea of stuff.( but please make it nice, I don't respond too well to negativity )

" This, is Duncan's castle." Simon said as we walked up to the castle. since Lewis was away i thought I'd get to meet Simons friends. from the stories I've heard, there all really nice people. and who knows, maybe someone knows anything about my past. the castle is massive with towers that stretch to the clouds and a glass sphere with a pretty twinkly thing in the middle.
" Duncan! open up! its me , Simon!" Simon shouted up at one of the towers. the giant door in front of us opened up and we walked through.
" Duncan's really nice, I'm sure you'll like him. he does a lot of science and a bit of magic." he said as we waited for him in his garden. it had a fountain in the middle and plants.
" Hey Simon, what bri-" Duncan walks out and stops talking as soon as he sees me.
" Duncan, this is -"
" An abomination!" he shouts as he gets out a sort of glove and shoots out a ball of electricity at me. I quickly jump up and land on the roof up above, dodging the attack. The word
' abomination ' makes my left eye and parts of my brain flicker with pain, causing a headache.
" Duncan stop! Kit's my friend! and she came all this way just to be your friend! and how do you treat her? by trying to blast her with a plasma ball! now, drop your weapon and make up with her." Simon defended me. It felt nice to have someone stand up for me.
Duncan took away his glove and looked down guiltily. I slowly started to get down from the roof and hide behind Simon.
" Uh, hi. I'm Duncan. sorry I tried to kill you with a plasma ball." he said.
" I'm kit. Sorry my appearance is such a burden that you had to kill me." I say.
" Well, know that introductions are over, why don't you offer us something to eat." Simon says with his hands on his hips , triumphantly. my stomach starts rumbling, I haven't had anything to eat for hours since I had some cake from Charlie's food stand this morning.
" Oh uh of corse. but uh, my castle doesn't have a ' safe ' way to enter. let me just go get something quickly." he said before he runs back into the castle.

Simons P.O.V ~
" Thanks for standing up for me back there." kit said as we wait for Duncan.
" Your welcome. your my friend so why shouldn't I? we are friends, right?" I ask.
" Of corse friend." she replied. there was something about the how she said ' friend ' , but I shook it off.

Kits P.O.V ~
Duncan came running back out with 2 pairs of rubber boots that had a faint purple glow to it.
" Ok. these boots should protect you from the tesla coil linked up to my door." he said casually as he hands is the boots.
" T- tesla coil?!" Simon starts to panic a bit.
" What's a tesla coil?" I ask.
" Oh. it's just a deadly object that may kill you. but these boots should protect you, unless your made of medal or something." He said calmly. I swap my shoes for the boots and walked through the door after Duncan.
" Ow!" I yell as I get zapped.
" That's.... odd. you shouldn't of gotten zapped." Duncan says as he looks at me suspiciously.
" Oh well. Simon, your turn."
Simon looks at the door frightfully, and jumps when he hears a squawk from above. a messenger owl lands down on his shoulder pad, gives him a letter and flys away.
" What does it say?" Duncan asks as Simon reads over the letter.
" It's from Lewis. he wants me to head over to site B and help with something. sorry guys, he wants me over ASAP."
" It's alright. I can show kit around my castle." Duncan said.
" Ok. sorry kit, but you'll have to meet everyone by yourself, Lewis says that it will take all week. but I might see you around. see ya later shit lords!" he yells as he runs out of the castle area.

~ time laps ~

" And this is the brewery. Would you like a beer?" Duncan asks me as we walk into his brewery.
" Uh, no thank you. I'm under aged." I politely turn down the offer. Duncan had spent the last few hours showing me around his castle, getting do caught up in it that ha taught Me a few things.
" Suit yourself. I'm gunna have some if you don't mind." he said as he got out a large mug and drank from the barrel.
" So, any questions about the tour?" he asked after a big gulp of beer.
" Just one. what was inside that big glass ball. you know, the sparkling thing." I ask. he looked up at me suspiciously.
" How can you see it?" he asked
" What do you mean?" I ask, being very confused.
" The sparkly thing can only be seen if you wear special thaumcraft goggles like mine, or by a magical being them self." He said.
" Well, Im special." is all I said.
" You sure are. just looking at you I can tell your special." he said, finishing his beer.
" No offence. and sorry for before. you just caught me of guard."
" It's alright. guess you don't get many animal-like visitors do you."
" Actually, I know a dinosaur and a talking panda. but they don't visit me at all." he said, grabbing another beer.
" Really? if like to meet them. could you introduce me?" I ask.
"Sorry. I don't know where panda lives. and teep, the dinosaur, hangs out with someone who doesn't really like me very much." He said, sculling his beer.
" Duncan, you there? Could you lend me something?" a voice called out from outside.
" In here sjin!" Duncan yelled out, sounding very drunk. a man dressed in overalls and a nicely groomed hairstyle and facial hair walks down the stairs.
" Oh. hello there. I'm sjin." he said as he looked at me.
" Kit." was my reply.
" What ya' want sjiny boy." Duncan drunkily said.
" You've been drinking again haven't you Duncan. anyways, could you lend me some wiring? I ran out at the farm." he said.
" No sjin. I don't have to give you anything. if you want something, go down and mine it yourself. tell ya what! I'll give you kitty here, shes going around, meeting everyone. go introduce here to that straw fingers bloke that your always going on about." he said, slurring his 'S's.
" What, no. he'll do things to her. but I could bring her over to the compound if she wants." he said, looking over to me for approval.
" that sounds fun. lets go!" I say as I start to walk out with sjin.
" Fine, I don't need you! I have science!" I heard Duncan yell out from behind.

~ another time laps ~

" Sips! I'm here for a visit! and I brought a friend." sjin yelled as we walked into the compound. sjin said that him and sips sell dirt here, but sjin went of to be a farmer.
A man with pale skin and blue board shorts was floating on a blue rubber ring in the middle of the pool with a martini in his hand looked up at us standing there, me still wearing Duncan's boots he gave me.
" Aw sjin, why did you bring her here? She's gunna shed all over the place." he said, raising his sunglasses from his eyes.
" Hey, don't be mean to her. Don't forget we were dogs at one point. are you gunna get out of the pool and introduce yourself." he defended me.
" Alright you big babby. ill get out in a second." sips said as he put his sun glasses back on.

~ yet ANOTHER time laps later cause sips is a lazy bugger who doesn't get out of the pool till much much later
" hey, who you calling lazy? you haven't even watched my skyrim series!" * throws dirt at author * ~

" Hi. I'm sips." Sips said when he finally got out of the pool.
" I'm kit. don't worry, I won't shed my hair around the place." I said.
" I like this girl. where'd you get here from sjin?" sips asked sjin, compleatly forgetting I was there.
" I found her at Duncans. she's going around meeting everyone." sjin said
" But, you can't say anything to anyone about me, alright?" I ask them.
They both give me odd looks.
" Anyways. Kit, would you like to help us with something?" sips asked me.
" Sure. what can I do?"
" Could you go and get some coal from the chests and bring it over to that building." sips said as he pointed to a small building, then to a giant skyscraper.
" Of corse." I say as I run of the the small building.

Sjins P.O.V. ~

" Uh, sips what are you planning?" I ask sips, knowing he had something up his sleeve.
" You'll see. now, hurry inside before she comes." he said as he ran inside. I sigh and followed him.

Kits P.O.V ~

I looked through all the chests, some filled with ores and ingots, many with dirt.I finally found some coal, but as
I touched it, it disappeared.
What?
I tried to pick up some more coal, but it disappeared like the other one.
Ok, this is getting weird now.
I pick up an armful of coal and quickly ran to the skyscraper, with coal disappearing by the second.
I suddenly start to feel lighter, like I'm flying. I look down to see the ground getting further and further away from me.
" Ah!" I scream as i crash though the wall, leaving a giant hole in the side of the building.
" Kit? what are you doing?" I heard sips say from the ground. I look down to see sjin and sips looking up at me. well, at Lear I think there looking at me. I'm so far up I can only just make it out that its them.

Sips P.O.V ~

The little basterd is flying. I can't believe it.
" How are we gunna get her down?" I ask sjin.
" I think she's already got that covered. look!" sjin said as he pointed at her.
I look up to see she's falling.
" Oh god oh god oh god not again!" screamed.

Kits P.O.V ~

I continue to fall faster an faster towards the ground. I shit my eyes waiting for the fall that never came. I open my eyes to see sjin and sips looking down, relieved. they both caught me.
" Thank you." I whisper to them.
