The sky turned red as blood and the sun turned into a black, light-less orb as the screams of people and the sounds of death echoed all over the city with buildings collapsing and people being devoured and ripped apart by creatures that could have only come from their deepest nightmares.

And at the center of it all, an enormous figure, clothed in light looked upon the city with a pair of enormous red eyes.

"THIS.... IS THE END OF YOUR WORLD.... I SHALL REMAKE THIS PLANET ANEW BUT BEFORE I CAN.... YOUR MUST ALL CHOOSE: SUBMIT OR BE EXTERMINATED" said a horrible, distorted voice that echoed eerily as if voiced by a legion of people.

"--ade!! Shade!! Dude! Wake up!" came the voice of her partner as she soon realized where she was.

The Safe Zone in the post-apocalyptic version Manhattan Square Garden, she was still sitting on a bench.

Though in virtual reality, she could still feel the cold sweat on her body.

Was that all a daydream? she thought as she checked her bracer interface's window.

Not even one minute had passed for username: Shadow7708 yet... what she saw felt like it had been almost an hour.

"Dude, you really spaced out there. Don't lose your head", her partner said as she looked at him for real this time and saw his dirty blonde hair and the night-vision goggles covering his eyes as well as the severed head he was showing her.

Wait....

"GYAAAAAAH!" she screamed as she finally realized her friend's prank and reflexively gave him a strong punch to the face, sending him flying a few feet.

"GOD DAMN IT SLITH!" the blonde ninja yelled as her partner's HP dropped a few points on her interface.

Shadow7708, the blonde ninja that could see the future.

Slitheen3, the necromancer that wore night-vision goggles.

The two of them were a dangerous combo, yet the two of them were not a team; only casual acquaintances. Due to them being loners and self-exiled solo-players.

Oddly enough, they hung out often.

"You know... you were staring blankly into space and had this horrible expression, did you... I dunno, see the end of the world with your future seeing?" Slith joked around as he came back over to her.

She was still puzzled by what she saw. Could that have been a daydream? Or could it actually have been a real prophecy?

"I wonder..."
