Chapter One

One of the greatest days and the most life changing, happened a year ago when my mom won the lottery. For a million dollars, my mom bought a beautiful house, invested her money on a restaurant that's still going strong, and basically spoiled me half to death.

But the love, the caring, the positiveness, it was all gone and replaced by the hungriness of money and power she had over each and every one of her friends. Family fun nights disappeared, her cooking vanished into thin air focused on the restaurant, and all her late night checks up on me became less and less every day. Until nothing was left at all, besides me going inside the nearest supermarket, Walmart with my boyfriend and his two buddies.

I ran a hand through my messy black hair with blonde at the bottom, with my other hand placed tightly around my boyfriend's arm. He leaned down and gave me a kiss on the forehead, making me grin like an idiot.

"You ready babe?" He asked staring at me with those big brown eyes of his. As I looked up, I ruffled his light brown hair and nodded. "As I will ever be," I responded. "Where are the guys going to get the bags?"

"Follow my lead," He whispered, he cocked his head to the side, nudging it twice, signaling for his two best friend's, Michael and Ian to go towards the solitary cash register. My boyfriend detached himself from my hold and went towards the Walmart bags in front of the cash register and stared at the candy bars, giving Ian some cover while he took 3 bags in his hand. Michael had his eyes set on the employee walking nearby and asking her where the electronics department was at, as if he hadn't been here before.

Ian stuffed the three bags in his back pocket and proceeded to get a close shopping cart and began going through isles.

"Whatever you want babe, it's on me." My boyfriend, James came close to me, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"You're going out with the cart this time?" I wondered.

"Of course, this time, I'm risking it all for you. Will you come out with me this time?"

I smiled at his words, leaning my head on his chest, loving the feel of his body so close to mine. "I'm not sure baby, I'm kind of scared." I sighed.

"Don't worry we won't get caught." He assured me.

"I trust you,"

"Okay then, let's go." He grabbed a hold of my hand as we went isle to isle searching for necessary things I needed, clothes or any type of snack.

So I settled in for a bag of chicken nuggets, some fries, and brand new pajamas. As soon as he got everything he needed and or wanted, he and his friends met up at the clothing section where they put everything inside the Walmart shopping bags. All of us surrounding Michael, covering him, making sure no one was watching us. The end of the result was three big puffy stuffed bags with unnecessary things, but yet we were still taking them.

"So who's coming out this time?" Ian asked staring between James and I.

I pointed at both of us, and shrugged, not like it was a big deal. I've come out with Michael and Ian before. It was actually a rush, I guess it's what got me to enjoy this so much.

"Okay so it's settled."

"Babe meet me by the entrance I'll be right there," James promised giving me a peck on the lips. I nodded as Michael handed me the shopping cart, and I walked past everyone. I had no purse, no nothing. All I had was this cart, full of stuff as I passed by the empty cash register, my heart beating fast, hoping no one saw me.

I waited by the entrance of Walmart, scared to come out of the sliding doors, my palms sweating wondering where the heck James was at. I looked everywhere, scanning as much as I could through the isles, getting on my tiptoes trying to spot a guy with brown hair but to my surprise he wasn't there.
