Small, gentle and caressing,

Something with so many feelings.

Beautiful and elegant,

Yet symbolising anger.

Awful drop in your stomach,

You know they will come too soon,

Water that leaks out your eyes,

That science cannot explain.

The swell in your lid comes next,

Like swell of waves at sea,

A strong storm close behind them –

Threatening to break all hope.

Then the first one falls at last,

Leaving a glistening trail

For other so follow soon,

But soon, is too fast for you.

Others quickly follow suit,

Your face like a window pane

With the rain dripping outside

With nothing, that can stop them.

Shining and reflecting light,

Opposite of your feelings.

You’re shaking changing the path

Of those that fall from your eyes.
