Chapter 3

Today is the day to plan the funerals. Its been just over two weeks. The funeral directors told us to wait to see if anyone else dies. But its just been so long, so Lailah and I decided today was the day to start.
I have not yet called Brittany to tell her what happened last night. I'm still a bit shocked. I had no sleep last night, like most nights. They were all to young to die. I need my mumma, she's nu guidance. Lily is my baby sister, we tell each other our little secret. Gram, she always had my back no matter what. I need them, I love them. Tommy boy, my bestfriend, my brother, the other half of me. he's gone. We cannot share our stories. The good and the bad. I can no longer try and set him up with Britz or Lee. I no longer have saviour at parties. I needed him. I need him. His gorgeous afro and big smile. Those beautiful, bright, lime green eyes that change colour with the seasons.
"Cas, I'm here". She narrowed her eyes on me. "You know you can talk to me. I'm here. We all are. This isn't healthy for you. We love you Cas!" I know she's right but I have no clue what to say. So I just shrug my shoulders and look away. "okay whatever cas. Where shall we start?".

It's been a few weeks since. I cannot believe I just list my big sister and parents. I have a councilor i go see every week. Rye has his new girlfriend. He won't tell me who she is, but I know there's one. Their dad rings me every day to talk and go cas to ring him but she never does. I'm really worried about her. So is Ryder. She won't talk to any of us. She's kind of just shut down lately. I've been staying with her.
I walked in the door. Today is sorting day. "Cas" I called. "CAS?" I called louder. Where is she? She must be home. "Caroline!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Thinking she might be on her room i went there. Her door was open and no one was there. I cme back down stairs. I saw her. She was just sitting there. Looking out the window. I wonder what shes looking at. She must be day dreaming."Cas, I'm here". I narrowed my eyes at her. What is she thinking? Well whatever it is I beat its not good. "You know you can talk to me. I'm here. We all are. This isn't healthy for you. We love you Cas!" I know she knows I'm right Because she didn't reply. She just nodded her head.
We'd been working for about 3 hours before cas' phone rung. We havent really talked all afternoon.
"Lai" she bit her bottom lip, which tells me shes nervous. "I have to ring Rye. I'll be back soon". Good Rye needs to hear from her.

Ring ring. "hello"
"Why didn't you tell me? I thought we were friends!" Marley oh shet.
"Marz, calm down"
"Don't tell me to calm down. Im not the lier here". She's furious.
"Marley, I didn't lie"
"Whatever, just ring Ryder. He called. Hes worried".
"Marley, I'm.." beep, beep, beep. She hung up. I walked back into the kitchen. "Lai" I bit my lip. I'm soo nervous about ringing rye. "I have to call rye. I'll be back soon".
