They say that friendships are founded in many away but they don't often say when they're found unexpectedly, animals have a natural order, predator and prey, but what if, that changed.

The cave stood quiet and isolated, the grey stone slick with morning dew and the grass outside bright green and vibrant, matching the sky in its shock of colour. Inside, the bear lay curled up, unaware of the spring finally arriving, birds chirping out side the cave echoed around the cave walls stirring the bear after his long slumber (yawns) "well... good mourning Mister bear" the bear says to himself in a low and subtle voice cooing himself awake clearing his throat as he dose, he stands stretching himself out bone clicking as he dose "oh, I'm getting old" he says jokingly to himself, he then stands on his hind legs but hitting his head on the roof of the cave "well not as small as I once were" he says rubbing his head "time to surface" he sighs stumbling out into the spring sunlight having to stop to let his eyes adjust, as he dose wait he sniffs the air his nose twitching in the breeze "copper in the breeze, blood close by, that's not normal in my territory best check it out" he says blinking and lowering to all fours as he sets off following the copper stench of blood.

Time passes as he gets further away from the cave and deeper into the dense Forrest he walks to where the smell is strongest, he surveys the area not seeing anything but red patches on the leafs covering the ground, he looks around the ground until a pile of leafs move without a gust of wind or a breeze to back them "hummmm" he says using his paw to disturb the leaves uncovering a silver bunny blood covered matting its fur the bear looks over the bunny to find top teeth marks and a wound on its leg, open and bleeding, the bunnies eyes glazed with tears and pain "H-Help!" the bunny squeaks "please... end it" it cries, the bear looks at the bunny with sad eyes opens his jaw and takes the bunny by the scruff of its neck not to hurt the bunny but to carry it lifting it noticing as he dose that its a she "well miss bunny its your lucky day" he says, but as almost on queue the howling of a pack of wolves travels in the wind hitting there ears "its them... the wolves" she says as she passes out from exhaustion, the bear turns to run as he dose he hears paws behind him following as the sun sets.
