'DWMA REUNION, APRIL 19TH'

the calendar seemed to shout the date in her ear. Maka leaned back on her suitcase, a "huff" emerged from her voice. 3 straight days of packing, stressing, and migraines. For a one week trip to see some people she didn't care about whatsoever. Maka was 19 years old, She left the DWMA when she was 14. After defeating the kishin, her and Soul had begun to drift away because of Maka's personal issues, resulting in their meister and weapon relationship vanishing. She ran a successful coffee shop, miles away from Death City. it was lonely at times, but it had it's advantages, like peace and quiet for reading. Maka never gave up on books, she would read every chance she got just as she did when she was a kid. As for the rest of the DWMA, she hadn't heard from them in ages, other than Blackstar and Tsubaki were somewhere in Germany fighting crime like the good days, Blackstar was a professional assassin, with over 250 confirmed kills. Kid and his pistols lead the DWMA, while guiding other students into becoming successful weapons and meisters. But what about Soul? She hadn't seen him since... Well, she couldn't recall. "I hope its all worth it.." Maka sighed, and began to load her bags into her car. By the time she pulled off, a rush of anxiety hit her like a smack in the face. "What if nobody comes to the reunion?" she muttered under her breathe, talking to no one imparticular but herself. She shrugged her shoulders and adjusted into her seat.

A long 4 hour drive, she was greeted by the infamous enormous set of stairs among the DWMA. "Oh wow, I sure missed that." She said out loud, rolling her eyes. She started the walk up the stairs, stomping with every step. "I MISSED IT TOO!" A blue haired blur shouted at her as it dashed up the stairs. Blackstar? It couldn't have been.. I'd recognize him if that was him. After what seemed like forever, she was at last atop of the stairs. She saw some people she recognized, and some.. not so much. She didn't see anyone she came to see, which was the disappointing part. A loud thudding at the stairs began to catch the attention of many of the attendees of the reunion. Maka whipped her head around as a motorcycle bumped up the stairs, an unidentified person zooming through. She backed up quickly as the motorcycle emerged from the stairs, stopping with a loud "ERRRRKK" that made her ears bleed. The individual took his helmet off, shaking his silver hair around and rubbing his eyes before scanning the area. Nobody seemed to be paying anymore attention to him, other than Maka. She squinted her eyes.. "Is that.."

The man's eyes locked with hers.. they were ruby red. It had to be him. That was him. That was her weapon, that was her Soul eater. "Maka?"mouthed Soul from a distance. Maka nodded slowly.. "Soul..?" she mouthed back. The red eye'd man practically raced over to Maka to hug her. "It's been so long!" Soul eater exclaimed. His voice was deeper, much louder too. The emerald eye'd girl nodded and smiled awkwardly.. "It has." Soul let go of Maka after a good 3 minutes of hugging. "So Maka, what's up?" Soul questioned, an undying smile stretched across his face. She looked so mature, so gorgeous, "The years have really done you well!" he chuckled. Maka smiled and brushed her hair from her face. "Thanks, you too!" she remarked with a laugh. A dark shadow casted over them, a deep voice casting out over the two reunited friends. "It's nice to see you two doing so well." The shadow took off it's mask, It was Death, Death the Kid. Maka smiled and nodded at kid. Maka was about to greet Death with a hug, before she was interrupted by somebody tripping over their shoelace and bumping into her.She reached her hand down to help the individual up, but the person hid their face, scurrying away quickly. "Huh?" Maka questioned. "Who was that?"

The person's hair was a faded pink, almost white, and they were extremely skinny. The person shook nervously from far away. Maka thought nothing of it, and went to hug DTK. She immediately fell through him, his costume was transparent or some sort. Just her luck, Soul happened to be right behind him, resulting in her falling into his arms. A line of blush appeared among his nose and cheeks as he helped Maka up. "A-are you okay..?" Soul said with a worried and embarrassed tone. Maka didn't answer. Something about his face, the way he looked at her, those gorgeous red eyes, something made her want to go back to him. Something made her want to be his partner again. She nodded her head after five minutes of Soul waiting for an answer, she shook her head nervously, "No, I'm not okay." She ran to the bathroom, sweating. What was this? Do her and Soul have more of a connection than she believed? Were old feelings beginning to resurface?
