Golden or not?
I looked at my hidden gold bracelet; it looked like a chain and was definitely manly enough to be worn. I traced the engraving of my name: Nathaniel. It fit so well with my character. I couldn’t help but think about the girl we found this after noon. The one that pretty boy Alex got in a battle with. I couldn’t trust that guy with anything, which doesn’t really surprise me given his family. Bunch of devils, all of them, Anelianna the worst.
But the girl was a golden; she had the bracelet to prove it. And by the look of the bruises she left on Alex, she was a fighter. But I had never seen this girl before. At least not in Remedelia. What was she doing here? She looked older than 13, I was sure of it. More like a sixteen year old. But she still looked new, and confused. And it was obvious she hadn’t learned how to control her instincts. She would have killed Alex if I didn’t hear his cowardly screams and come to his help with black Flurd powder. Just a whiff of that stuff could knock out a horse.
I wondered what she was doing here, whether she was good, or evil. It was obvious she was earth born, and something about her tone of voice towards Alex seemed familiar, oh well. I was too tired to think anyway.
(this is probably the shortest chapter you will ever see, Sorry guys...but it was here for a reason)
