Detention

After that shocker in English class, we all went on our daily business. Yeah, normal. Seriously, everybody in the English class had been spreading rumors about how Annihilate was totally rude to the teacher and started shouting at her, or that Annihilate started throwing everything in sight at the teacher or at someone in the front row of the classroom, and I could go on and tell about even more outrageous rumors, but I won't! Ha!

I was now in my Humanities class, and it was boring! Mr. Roe was talking a out the Locke of the State of War, and I could barely keep my eyes open! Unlike my partner, Kristina, who was writing down notes as fast as she could. Eh, I'll just copy off of her notes later. I'm sure she won't mind. I started leaning back in my chair.

"Mr. Clair!" I heard Mr. Roe exclaim. Crash! I had leant back to far and tipped over!

"Ouch..." I started rubbing my head.

I looked over at Kristina, and her eyes were about as big as, you know, I'm not that good with similes, so I won't even bother. Right as I was getting up, the door to the Humanities classroom opened, and in strode Annihilate.

"I'm sorry, I got lost." she said. I swear I saw her grimace as soon as Mr. Roe turned her way, but it disappeared as soon as he turned her way.

"Next time, Ms. ..." As I realized that Mr. Ore didn't know Annihilates last name, I realized that I didn't know it either. I leaned forwards in anticipation. "My last name is Parker. I'm related to Spiderman." She said, and I saw her eyes gleam like they had before, but just like last time, it disappeared as soon as it had come.

And then I realized her joke. The entire class burst out laughing. As soon as we calmed down, Mr. Roe spoke,"Very funny, but the classroom is no place for jokes. Is Parker your real last name?"

"No"

"Then what is it?"

"I don't have a last name"

"Everybody does." I spoke up.As she turned towards me, I gulped nervously.

"Apparently not everybody" She turned and stomped over to Mr. Roe and said, "I shall be skipping class today, and will be in detention tomorrow to make up for it."

Even as stunned as he was, Mr. Roe managed to make out,"Taking detention still doesn't make skipping class okay"

"I know"

Then all I heard was the door slam shut behind her, and I blinked furiously, trying determine whether or not what just happened really did happen.

I felt an elbow nudge me. "You better look out" whispered Kristina.

Alright then, there is my second chapter, finished! Still would love to have some feedback!

Anyways, for the random thought of the day...

Did you ever wonder why a duck sound is supposed to sound like quack, but it never really does? It sounds more like a squeaky rocking chair on a rubber floor!

And there is my random thought for the day! Enjoy!
