Brandon's POV:

I walk out of Callie's room with the doctor. "Is Callie going to be okay?" I ask urgently.

"Yes, for now." He says.

"What do you mean 'for now'?" I ask.

"Well, there are two things. One. Miscarriages and mean complications for the mothers, so that's always a concern. Two. Even though it might not have sank in to her yet, she will be sad about this. She may get angry and maybe even blame you for doing it to her-" he goes to continue but I cut him off.

"Wait. You think I'm the father?" I ask.

"You're not? You to sure seem to be together and in love."

"We are, but she was raped. You can't tell anyone I told you that because she would kill me. The guy that beat her up is the guy that raped her. He's in jail right now for beating her up." I explain.

"Oh. Well, she's still going to be upset about this and she will need to be around love ones. Just be sure to watch her too. I will give her parents numbers for a few teen therapists. If she's becoming depressed and unlike herself, she should go see a therapist before things get out of hand." He tells me.

"Thank you. I won't leave her side. I can't, for my own sanity, but thank you." I say. He nods and then walks away down the hall.

I take a deep breath and walk back into Callie's room. She's asleep and shivering. I take the blanket that I was using on the couch and lay it on top of her.

Her eyes slightly open and she smiles. "Will you lay with me?" She asks.

I smile down at her. "Of course." I lift the blankets up and get into bed next to her. They changed out her bed earlier, so this one has warm clean sheets. I wrap one arm around her waist and put the other under her head. She snuggles close to me, almost curling into a ball.

I'm happy in this moment because my princess is safe and sound, but I'm also sad because I know that she is going to be hurting tomorrow and I hate seeing her like that. I fall asleep trying to think of Callie and me in the future, when we no longer have to hide our love for each other and are happy.

I dream about Callie and me. She's beautiful. She's wearing a pale blue dress with black combat boots and a fitted black leather jacket. She smiles at me and we get into my car. I drive to the abandoned house I took her to for our first date and we get out of the car. I get a picnic basket, a blanket, and Callie's guitar out of the trunk.

We walk into the house and I sit at the piano and she sits next to me. "I want to play you something, but promise me you won't laugh at me." I say nervously.

"Promise," she smiles. I start to play and she leans her head on my shoulder. Then I start singing the lyrics that I've practiced more than I'd like to admit.

Hey pretty girl, won't you look my way
Love's in the air tonight
You can bet you make this ol' boy's day
Hey pretty girl, won't you look my way

Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance
And the next one after that
Gonna make you mine there's a real good chance
Hey pretty girl, can I have this dance

Hey pretty girl, it feels so right
Just like it's meant to be
All wrapped up in my arms so tight
Hey pretty girl, it feels so right

Life's a long and winding ride
Better have the right one by your side
And happiness don't drag its feet
Time moves faster than you think

Hey pretty girl, wanna take you home
My momma's gonna love you
She'll make me sleep on the couch, I know
Hey pretty girl, wanna take you home

Hey pretty girl, let's build some dreams
And a house on a piece of land
We'll plant some roots and some apple trees
Hey pretty girl, let's build some dreams

Life's a long and winding ride
Better have the right one by your side
Happiness don't drag its feet
And time moves faster than you think

Hey pretty girl, you did so good
Our baby's got your eyes
And a fighter's heart like I knew she would
Hey pretty girl, you did so good

Hey pretty girl, when I see the light
And it's my time to go
I'm gonna thank the Lord for a real good life
A pretty little girl and a beautiful wife

When I'm done I look over at her and she's crying. "Callie. I love you and I never want to be without you. I want to have everything that the song said. Will you marry me?" I ask and I pull a little black box from my pocket.

She nods her slowly up and down. "O- of course I- I will." she stutters.

Then I'm in a church looking down the aisle at her in a beautiful white dress and a veil over her beautiful face. When she gets all the way up the aisle and is standing next to me I'm taken to another place.

Callie's still in front of me, but shes and shorts and a t-shirt with her hair pulled into a bun. We are in a small cozy house. She leans in to kiss me, but their is a cry from another room. We both get up and go into a small room, a nursery. It's painted purple. Callie goes to the crib and picks up the baby girl inside it. She smiles and comes back to me with the little girl. "What's wrong baby girl?" she asks in the sweetest voice. The little girl smiles her. It's the best picture in the world, both of my girls. I hope that I can see this in real life someday.

*BEEEEEP* I wake up to a long continuous beeping sound. I hop out of Callie's bed and look around. I wipe the sleep from my eyes and look at Callie. It's only then that I realize that the beeping noise was coming from a machine that Callie was hooked up to. I looked at the machine and saw the the lines that were going up and down last night start to fade into a flat line.

I know what this means and it's not happening. It has to be my dream turning into a nightmare. For a moment I'm frozen to the floor, but then I spring into action and run out the door. "HELP! HELP!" I yell. "PLEASE! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"
