"Come on Sarah! We have to go sign up now!" My friend Elizabeth ushered me along to our teacher Mr. Kaup's room. He's our journalism teacher, and he's my favorite.

"I'm going I'm going!" I start to walk faster down the hall Liz hot on my tail. Once we reach the classroom I open the door and we both walk in and Mr. Kaup turns to look at us. "Hello ladies! Need any help with anything?" He smiles.

I nod. "Yes actually. We're here to sign up for the spring break trip!" A smile evident on my face. He gets up from his seat and walks to the back of the room and picks up a sign up form. "You girls are the first ones to come and sign up since I put up those posters. So you get the best seats on the plane." He smiled and handed the form on the clip board to me.

I write my name, grade, age and how much money I'm donating to go on the trip. I hand it to Liz and start talking to Mr. Kaup.

"So? Are you going on the trip as well?" I ask. He nods.

"Well of course I am. I can't wait to spend time with my favorite students!" He smiles and gives me a side hug. I laugh.

"Well I can't wait either. Are you going to bring Michael? I've been wanting to meet him." He looks at me.

"You know I would like that but I don't know if he can get time off of work to come. I mean we'll be gone for two weeks." I nod.

"Well I hope he can come. How long have you two been married now?" At my question he blushes. I forgot to mention he's gay. But he's like a friend to me.

"Well this Friday will be four years now." Awe! They are so cute.

"Awe! Are you planning on having kids?" I hope they are!

"Well. Michael wants at least two but I just don't know. I mean I'm already 53 years old. I have bad health. I don't think I'll even be alive to see them go to high school. But I would like a child." He smiles sadly.

"Oh don't talk like that. I think you would make a great father. No I know you will." He chuckles.

Just as he was about to say something, Liz walked over. "Okay. You ready to go? We still have to pack!" She smiled brightly at the two of us.

"Lizzy. The trip isn't for another month! We'll have time to pack. I promise." I put my hand on her shoulder. Mr. Kaup laughed.

"It's okay girls. I have to get home to Michael anyways. It's already four o'clock." I looked at the clock on the wall and noticed he was right. Oh shit! I totally forgot!

"Oh my gosh! I didn't know it was so late! I have to go! I'll see you next week Mr. Kaup!" I waved at them as I ran out the door. I ran down the hallway and out the side doors to the parking lot.

I got in my car and started driving home. Okay since I didn't explain myself, I'm Sarah Incrocci. I am 17 soon to be 18, I am a senior who attends Auburn Senior High School. And as you know my best friend Elizabeth Jones signed up for a trip over spring break. To Ireland. My favorite place ever!

Well that's all you need to know for now. I pull up in my driveway to see my moms car still here. Thank god she hasn't left yet. I get out and head to the front door.

I unlock the door and walk inside. As soon as the door opens I hear the constant screaming of my younger siblings. I am the oldest out of 4 kids. And I always get stuck babysitting them while my mom goes to work the night shift at the hospital.

"Sarah! Thank god your home! I really have to get going. The kids just had a snack. I also just put Leanna down for a nap, the other two are in the play room watching Disney movies. Please be careful with them," She says that every time. "And I'll be back at 7 tomorrow morning. I promise. I love you goodbye!" With that she's out the door.
