Hey, guys! I'm super glad to be here to bring you the (my first) Harry Potter article of July!So, I was totally struggling with ideas, and I went through Pinterest (my pretty not-secret guilty pleasure) looking at things and stuff about our beloved fandom.

AND THEN—BOOM. Thank the Lord for guilty-pleasure-Pinterest because I came across the best and most inspirational Harry Potter Tumblr post ever.

That's why I'm here!

Let's talk houses. Feel free to comment your lovely houses down below, and tell me why you think you're in them.

I am a happy, happy Ravenclaw, here to report on all of the terrible stereotypes.

GRYFFINDOR is stereotyped as the upperclassmen of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, known as the bravest and most loyal. The thing is, Gryffindor isn't the best house—there is no such thing. Gryffindor may represent bravery, but they care about justice. They want what is right in their eyes. Though they seem to be esteemed and the best, they don't care about rules or what other people say. They will fight for what is right—right/wrong, black/white—and they will do it with the bravery they had earned after being a Gryffindor House member.

You might belong in Gryffindor,

Where dwell the brave of heart,

Their daring, nerve and chivalry

Set Gryffindors apart;

HUFFLEPUFF house is thought of—among outsiders and some Harry Potter fangirls or boys—as the "leftovers." Hufflepuff is much more than that. They represent equality, kindness and friendship. Hufflepuff will fight for those who stand by them and fight against those who oppose them and their friends.

You might belong in Hufflepuff,

Where they are just and loyal,

Those patient Hufflepuffs are true

And unafraid of toil;

RAVENCLAW may be known for it's love of intelligence and takes pride in it's students knowledge, but Rowena (and the Sorting Hat) accepts those who are creative and original and thoughtful

RAVENCLAW may be known for it's love of intelligence and takes pride in it's students knowledge, but Rowena (and the Sorting Hat) accepts those who are creative and original and thoughtful. They are for those who can build something from the ground up—creating something from nothing. They hate the rules that bind them and prevent them from creating and learning new things. Magic helps them explore new worlds, or create their own.

Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw,

If you've a ready mind,

Where those of wit and learning

Will always find their kind;

SLYTHERIN is known for being cunning, and irrational when it comes to taking down an enemy

SLYTHERIN is known for being cunning, and irrational when it comes to taking down an enemy. Though some of those things are true, Slytherins are very ambitious, will follow every rule set for them (their own rules, but they'll still follow 'em) and would never betray those who fight alongside them. They would never break the rules within their—still cunning—group of followers or allies.

Or perhaps in Slytherin,

You'll make you're real friends,

Those cunning folk use any means

To achieve their ends;

Thank you guys, so much, for joining me today! I hope you enjoyed learning (if you didn't already know all of this) more about your houses, and felt more impressed with who you are and where you belong.
