Short Chapter, BTW !!

After two classes after Biology, It was time for lunch. As I walked inside the cafeteria, I smelled warmed, crisp pastries and I began to drool. Everyone was staring at me as if I were a goldfish in a bowl. Over the weekend I had to go to the mall and at least get clothes that won't make me so foolish looking. I still felt out of place but as soon as I saw Hunter waved me towards him in the lunch line, I couldn't care if anyone was staring at me.

"Hey" I said as i caught up to him

"Hey, hows your day been so far ?"

" I guess its been okay." I noticed some girls staring at me with hatred and jealous. Maybe its because I was with Hunter and they weren't. I guess my self esteem boosted with confidence when I figured that out.

As we entered where all the food were, I observed that the girls weren't touching the perfectly good, greasy pizza and were picking up salads instead. I rolled my eyes.

"Typical"

Not caring about what anyone thought I picked up two slices and a coke and made my way to the register behind Hunter. He was carrying a tray with Sirloin Steak and potatoes. My mouth watered. You'd never find this good of lunch in public schools.

Hunter paid for his food and then told the cash register that he'd pay for mine too.

"Its okay, Hunter. I have money" I told him. But i could already tell he made up his mind and that he was paying for mine.

He smiled sweetly. " Its the least I can do for making my school life better with you here." 

My face grew hot and I smiled back. I didn't know what to say so I nodded.

He led me to a table in the center of everyone. Not where I'd normally sit but I guess that's what happens when you meet the most popular dude in school. 

Sitting at the table were the most spectacular looking people. Maybe they were models or actors I thought. I shouldn't be with them. I placed my tray besides Hunter's and sat down.

" Everyone meet Alejandra, Alejandra meet everyone."  Hunter announced.

I got a few hellos but one girl didn't seem all that happy to see me. I think she was the pretty blonde I saw whispering about me earlier. 

"Oh Great"  I thought.

I kept quiet all of lunch and picked at my pizza, trying not to let the beautiful angels around me think that I was a slob. They talked about celeb gossip, Where they were going for winter break, and upcoming house parties that i'd doubt i will be invited to.

After lunch we all said our goodbyes and Hunter took me to my next class, which I think was his next class also. I am glad I have all my classes with him. At least I felt cool with him.

Hunter put his arm around me and I looked up in his kind, grey eyes. I never thought someone like him would go for a poor, nerdy girl liked me. I guess looks can be deceiving. 

The last two classes passed by quickly and before I knew it I was in the parking lot with Hunter.

" Want a ride?" He asked 

'Um.. If it's okay." I said meekly.

"Of course it is." He opened the passenger door and I sat in his nice white BMW. he sat on the other side and started the car. As he was driving I stared at him wondering if this was a dream. he made me feel like a queen.. like I was somebody. A feeling I haven't felt. In years.

I wish I could spend this time with him forever and never have to go. But it felt like 5 minutes and he was already in my driveway. He opened the door for me and took my hand.

" See you tommorow" he said with a kiss on the cheek.

I felt my face getting hot again. " Goodbye, Hunter."

Who knew after meeting someone after ONE day you could like them so much. I guess my life could be like a fairy tale.

I skipped up the steps to my front door and waved as he drove off. I opened the door with my key and went to my purple colored room. I fell asleep on my bed, dreaming about my new crush.
