It was a sunny day, pleasant and calm in which her home lit up like a bulb. The edges corners and crevices of her small flat were illuminated by the streaming light. She didn’t know what time it was but it must have been fairly late in the day. She lay on her bed, her face blankly staring at the white ceiling plastered above her. It was then that he finally saw the chaos of the room slowly unfold before his eyes. She sunlight left no excuse when glowing the walls of the room with traces of splattered blood. A broken lamp here, a shattered picture frame there. But it was the burning hole in his wife’s chest that oozed the truth, bright and red.
