Finding Love in Jail

If i go back five years i wouldn't have the slightest thought of ending up in prison with big fat under washed girls who stare at you like you are the piece of shit left in the toilet after another one of them has just came out. It's sad really, my story i mean, just thinking back to what my life used to be like. Birthdays i used to have with big barbie cakes and balloons everywhere, jumping about on the big bouncy castles that I had forced my mum and dad to get. But after they died i had to move in with my mental, and i mean mental, uncle. Now he doesn't let me out of his sight. I'm under strict rules and have to follow them or else something bad will happen to either me or my little brother Ben. Oh yeah my name is Olivia Harris.

Oh how i miss they days just waking up without a care in the world, not having to worry if you were going to get punched in the face for walking to slow to breakfast or not getting any food because one of the other girls grassed you up for doing something you didn't do.

But enough of me talking about that let me begin at the start, the very start.

It was the day my life changed forever, I had snuck out the night before to go to a party that I thought would be amazing with lots of hot boys walking around, which actually turned out that it was only a few girls that wanted to get drunk and laugh at people walking past their window. Now that isn't something I was up for so I went to another party down the road that was thankfully full of hot guys. I got drunk and woke up in a random bed with a half naked boy beside me.

I got up off the uncomfortable bed and walked into the near by toilet looking into the huge mirror dangling onto the wall above the shiny sink. Looking in the mirror i saw makeup down my face my hair facing different ways. I washed my face to get the face paint off and made my way out of the toilet, thank full that i still had my very short pink strapless dress on. Finding my shoes and mini purse i headed down the stairs.

I walked out of the huge front door while fixing my hair into a messy bun on the top of my head. Out of my purse I pulled my sunglasses and placed them in front of my eyes and walked into the sunlight. UGH. I hate hangovers. Looking around i saw my best friend Cara leaning against her car.

"Hey, where have you been. I've been texting you for ages. All you said was to meet you here. I was getting worried. You okay?" Such a worrier. What would i do without my bestie. Having Cara beside me has always been amazing. I mean i have gone through some rough times in the past couple of years, with my parents dying and then having my mental uncle take me and my brother in. Its been hard but i'm thankful that she has stood by my side throughout it. I don't know how I would have done it without her.

"Yeah. why wouldn't i be?" I questioned  her with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, it's just that you have a insane uncle looking after you that doesn't let you out of his sight and you just stayed out all night, not telling him where you are. You know how he is. He might hurt you or Ben again" She seemed more worried than me. Then it clicked. Oh god. NO! Oh fuck how could i just leave Ben there alone with him. I'm so selfish. I need to get home.

"I need to get home. NOW!" I said as I ran towards the passenger door and opened it. When i climbed in Cara was already turning the key and we set off. Me biting my nails, afraid of what might happen or what has already happened. He had already warned me before, i just didn't know if he really meant it. Would he hurt Ben, the cute and innocent boy. I should get punished it's my fault. Well done Olivia.

After what seemed eternity in the car we finally made it back home it looked like no one had been there in a day or so. The door was left ajar and all the lights were turned off. Trying to be as quiet as possible I peaked my head through the door and looked around to see what was happening. My mouth fell open as I realized that there were smashed glasses on the floor, the last few photos of my parents were lying face up, the glass broken in the frames.

I open the door wider and walked inside being carefull not to make any noise just in case he was waiting for me.

"Olivia. This is the worst i've seen it. He must be really pissed" I heard Cara whisper from behind me.

"Go. I can handle myself. I will phone you later. Okay." Cara gave me a 'really' face.

"You think i'm going to leave you here. A place where you could possibly die in the next few hours. What if something bad happens? How do you think i'm going to feel if i could have helped you escape death but didn't?" She retorted back.

"Cara. I will be fine. You can call me every ten minutes if that makes you feel better." I told her trying to reasure and persuade her.

"Every ten minutes?" She said looking torn as to what to do.

"Yes. Every ten minutes. If i don't answer after two tries phone the police. Okay." I whispered pushing her to the front door.

"I don't like this Olivia. If he comes at you run or defend yourself. Don't let him hurt you." She said hugging me.

"I love you" I said after we pulled away from each other.

"I love you too" She replied as a tear rolled down her cheek, she quickly wiped it away and hugged me again.

"I promise you everything will be alright" I whispered into her neck. I then pushed her away and left her there staring at me like it would be the last time she would see me. I waved at her and closed the door leaving me in the house. Alone. That's when i heard it
