I stared contestly at the orange juice sitting on the kichen counter. "Want some juice Hailey?" My mother asked. She was pouring brownie batter into a pan. "I dont know actually. It looks good but i'm not thirsty." She laughed. I took a look at her. "Whats funny mom?" She picked up a rag and walked over to me. I tried to hurry up and grab my bag and go into my room. "Im laughing at you. You have such a humor."
"Mom.. Im your child, lets not forget that." She looked at me in awe and checked on her banana pudding she was making for my school. She does bake a lot of things. I guess she turned into a home mom now. I grabbed my bag and ran upstairs running into my little brother. "What was that for?" He screamed at me for running into him "Look! Mom is down stairs trying to have a conversation with me on ORANGE JUICE!" He pointed and laughed. "MOM! Hailey is running away from your conversation on orange-" I blocked him out and dialed Princess's number.
"Hey Chicka!" Princess said, answering the phone.
"I gotta run away." I said. She laughed and asked why. "My mom tried to keep an conversation on orange, and my brother telling on me for running into my room."
"That's Why i'm the only child." She laughed.
"Seriously. I'm packing tonight." I joined in on the laughter. WE are such a good couple of best friends. Honestly, we met last week. She was new in the neighborhood and I needed a friend and she's perfect. We go to the same school and everything. "My mom wants to go take pictures of the new autumn change." Princess said in excitment.
"Ok. Thats cool. Send me pictures on my cell. Bye Chicka!" I hanged up the phone and walked to my bookshelf and shoveled through books to get to my diary I had since I was 6. I still read that thing to see how my life was. Consitering that im 13 now, 7 years put into that diary could be interesting. I dove onto my bed, with pillows and stuffed animals falling on me. Ahhh! The soft, back fillng lifted my back with comfort. I felt more relaxed than ever. A chill went down my back. 'I'll never forget the day, I witness a robbery.' I read from the diary. I kept reading on and was in awe from the events I been through in the past. From robberies, to fake disney lands, to getting milk poured on me from the first grade. Wow! "Hailey!" My mom called. I walked down stairs feeling rushed. She pointed over to the living. In the living room was Ms. Darkson sitting by the fireplace tapping her boot. Dang! I forgot to pull her trashcan to the front of her yard so it could be dumped. Looks like i'm not getting my weeks pay. Is it Friday already? "Hello Ms.Darkson." I tried to at least make her day any better than it could be.
"And hello to you Hailey." I tried to play off the confusment on why she was here.
"I missed the garbage truck today, didnt I?" She noded her head and folded her arms. I looked back at my mom, who looked at me and headed upstairs into her bedroom. She mouthed out the words: Work it out. "I'm so sorry Ms. Darkson. It will never happen again."
"It better not, because i'm having a going away party for one of my close friends this week and the trash is gonna be over filled." I gulped. She slowly got up and walked to the door. "I'll see you next week. Tell your mother I said thanks for the banana pudding." My bottom jaw dropped. I knooow my mom didnt give her my banana pudding for my school. It's a reason why it was for school. Well, maybe not because me and my friends were gonna curl up in the library and eat it while reading books and catching up on things. I ran upstairs. I fell when i got to the 8th stairs. BOOM! BANG! BOP! I ached in pain. Catching my breath, I WALKED this time up the stairs. Limping and all I burst through my mom's bedroom. She looked me from head to toe. "Oh honey. Did she beat you?"
"NO! I fell coming up the stairs to ask why you gave that lady my banana pudding!" I rubbed my arms and walked to her bathroom to get an arm bandage.
"You didn't take out her trash and she wanted something in return for the inconvense."
"So you gave her my pudding!?" She dropped her book that she were reading and hold up a finger to me. I hate when she does these things.
"Hailey Brooke, don't you dare get loud with me. It was responsibility to do your job and you didn't so you had a consequence." I stomped my foot and folded my arms. She really made me mad. I would never just GIVE her stuff to anyone.
"Ughh!" I ran out of her room and slammed her door. "This isn't fair!" I screamed while slamming mines. I could hear my brother come out his room and ask my mom what happened. I put my ear to the door to listen. "Your sister is going through somethings. She upset so don't bother her." Is what she said. I mocked her. Falling to my bed, I decided to go to bed early.
