Out with the old, In with the new - winter wonderland

It was a long drive up the mountain and curvy. I got motion sickness so I fell asleep for the ride as he blasted dubstep. It made him feel dangerous when he drove apparently. I woke up to feeling chilled air hitting my face. I opened my eyes to see Zane with my door open shaking me slightly. 

"I'm up. Are we there?" I asked as I yawned. 

"Yep come on out but watch your step the ice is slippery." he extended his hand for me to take. I placed my hand in his and he lifted me out of my seat. I looked around at all the snow and kids playing. It was so beautiful, the snow covered every inch except for what was moved for cars. The trees had a frost on them and snow on the tops of branches. It felt like Christmas. I smiled and Zane grabbed my hand and tugged for me to follow, which I did. 

This trip mostly consisted of me trying not to sink into deep snow and Zane pelting me with snow balls as I franticly tried to get away. It was fun though, I couldn't stop laughing. 

I was sitting on a bench waiting for him to come back with hot chocolate since he made me freezing. As I was sitting there admiring the world around me I heard someone or something fall. I looked over to see a girl there lying in the snow with a snow board attached to her feet... I walked over to her and helped her up, "hey you alright?" 

She took my hand and got up, "Yep! A little snow never hurt anyone. I'm Jess." 

"Its nice to meet you jess, I'm Celina." I smiled and shook her hand. "So you like snowboarding?" 

"Like? I love it! I hope to be a professional one day. You will hear about me one day." she had a big happy smile on her face. 

"That's awesome! I'd love to try it but I'm a cluts and this is my first time in snow." I laughed and she looked at me amazed. 

"First time?! Really? I'm up here every weekend! Say got a phone? We could be great friends and I could teach you some time?" she was a really happy person and seemed really nice. 

We exchanged phone numbers when Zane came walking over with hot chocolate, "Here you go my lady." he handed me one then turned his attention to Jess, "and who is this?" 

"I'm Jess, soon to be professional snowboarder! Well one day." she laughed and reached out to shake his hand. 

He took it and shook hands with her, "Nice to meet you, thank you for keeping my Celina company while I was gone." 

"It's no problem! I have a feeling we will be good friends!" she hugged me. 

"Yeah I do too, I'll text you later?" I smiled and waved as she started off on her board while nodding. 

"Well it's nice to see you socializing." he joked and nudged me as I sat on the bench and he followed. 

"Of course. I haven't had the best friends, but jess seems nice." 

"She really is. Very happy person, good choice." he smiled. 

As we finished our hot coco he stood up and sprinkled snow on my head. "Ohh no. Not again!" I made a snow ball and threw it at him. It hit him in the forehead, I threw my hands in the air and said, "Head shot!" and laughed as a snow ball hit my chest and exploded all over me. He began to laugh nonstop as I kicked snow at him. He ran over and threw me over his shoulder and spun around. We fell into the snow laughing and I made a snow angel. He laughed and hugged me against him then just stared at me. 

"What is it?" I raised a brow at him the smile not leaving my face for a moment. 

"You look stunning surrounded by snow smiling so care free." He said as he pulled some snow out of my hair. 

"Zane. I like you." I blurted out and kissed him.
