The music was blaring in the background. They looked into each other's eyes, both of them thought about the person standing in front of them. They thought it might be love or maybe just the alcohol make its way through their blood system. Either way, something felt right and even real.

At first, when Erin's one and only friend Officer Kim Burgess had asked her to go clubbing with her, she had totally denied the idea, but after a hell a lot of convincing Erin agreed on going out with Kim.

Jay on the other hand was also not interested in going out clubbing that Friday, but his partner from the gangs managed to convince him by saying that it was a going away present. Jefferson, Jay's partner, has known Jay ever since he graduated from the academy. They've been partners ever since, and now that his best friend was going to run with the big dogs in district 21's Intelligence Unit, he wanted to make sure that his friend would have a night he would never forget.

As soon as Jay entered the club his nostrils were filled with the various smells of sex, sweat, alcohol, and smoke. Jefferson made it pretty clear they were going to party hard. So as soon as he got there he squeezed his way towards the bar and asked for a couple of shots to get the party started.

Kim and Erin were leaning on the bar enjoying their drinks and making small talk when two handsome men approached them. Erin's eyes locked away with one of the stranger man's eyes; and he looked damn fine. He had stunning clear blue eyes, hair as dark and inviting as hot chocolate, and a very, very muscular body. Erin did not know how long she'd been staring at him, but she did know that she had to force herself to take her eyes off him.

After taking three shots of tequila, Jefferson spotted two pretty looking ladies in the corner of the bar, enjoying their drinks and having small talk. He was about to comment to his ex-partner if he wanted to go and flirt with these ladies when he noticed that he was already checking one of them out.

"Wanna go talk to them?" Jefferson yelled over the music. Jay gave him a puzzled look, he was completely lost, and his face said so. "To the girls, Jay, you know, the one you haven't been able to take your eyes off since we got here." As soon as those words left Jefferson's mouth, Jay lowered his eyes, looking anywhere but at his ex-partner's face and the gorgeous girl across the bar. It was true, he hadn't been able to take his eyes off her ever since he had seen her. There was something about her, he couldn't pin point it just yet, but there was something special about her.

"I'll take that as a yes." Jefferson said, as he interrupted his thoughts "Come on Romeo."

As Jay and Jefferson approached the girls, she spotted him, their eyes locked, she was even more beautiful up close. She had hazel eyes, and brownish blonde shoulder length hair. And she was wearing a dress that made justice to every single curve in her body. As soon as they were standing in front of each other Jay went mute, she turned away to look at her friend; 'shit' he thought. All the courage that he had mustered to gain on his walk here was gone with the wind. Luckily, Jefferson caught up to the situation and in less than a second he became Jay's wing man and started a conversation.

"Hello Ladies," he spoke in a cocky tone, that which according to him made him seem sophisticated. "My name is Collin Jefferson and this is my friend Jay Halstead, we were wondering if we could buy you a drink?" he stated bluntly.

Erin and Kim were surprised by Collin's proposal but accepted the drinks anyway. Soon enough the group of four moved to the second floor of the club where the cocktail tables were found. Even though Jefferson made quite a bit of a talk, Erin couldn't take her eyes of Collin's friend, Jay. At first Jay seemed quite shy, but as the drinks kept following, he started to loosen up. The more Jay and Erin talked the more they seemed to have in common. Soon enough it was safe to say that the four of them were intoxicated or closed to being so.

"Kim, would you like to dance with me?" Collin asked. Kim looked at Erin who was in a deep conversation with Collin's friend, and went for it.

"Yeah, sure. I just have to let Erin know." With that said, Kim notified Erin about her whereabouts and left for the dancefloor with Collin. As Kim was leaving Jay glanced up to see Jefferson mouthing to him 'you owe me one', and with that he took off with Kim.

Jay and Erin probably spent about another thirty minutes talking and laughing at practically everything they said to each other. By that point it was clear that both of them were intoxicated and letting loose, they talked about everything. Except work.

"Let's dance" Erin yelled at him over the loud music. With that being said, Erin grabbed Jay's hand and dragged him to the crowded dancing spot. Maybe it was the alcohol; maybe it was the way he looked at her, but soon enough they found themselves practically glued to each other in their own rave, not the friendly type of way but the hot sexy away. Hands were roaring, hips were grinding against each other. It was all one sweaty hot mess, they ached for each other's touch. Every single touch, even if it was just a brush, ignited a spark in their skins.

Jay was panting, he did not know how long they have been dancing and he did not care, in fact he did not have a care in the world right now, all his focus was on her. The song ended and Erin glazed at Jay, their eyes met again. Soon enough, their faces were inches apart from each other, Jay could smell Erin's perfume with a mix of sweat, and it smelt good. Erin on the other hand was smelling Jay's cologne with a touch of metal and perspiration, which only drove her hormones even crazier. Erin notice how Jay diverted his eyes from her eyes to her lips and back again to her eyes, it was just a fraction of a second, but it was enough for Erin to make a move.

The world stopped as soon as their lips collided. At first it was sweet and almost cautious. Aching for breath, they parted softly. They looked into each other's eyes so intently that Jay thought that she could see into his soul. He slowly raised his hand and feather touched her cheek with the pad of his fingers. Grabbing the back of her head, he pulled her forward. His lips crashed onto her. Erin parted her lips to let him in, their tongues fought for dominance, a fight which she gladly lost. The sensations were so strong that it shocked Jay that Erin pulled apart for the second time tonight.

"Maybe we should get out of here, what do you say?" Erin whispered as she kissed him right underneath the earlobe. The gesture made Jay groan, and swallow hard as he tried to maintain the little self-control that he had left.

"Yeah, maybe we should." He spoke as his right hand tangled his fingers with Erin's.

As they were walking out the door, Erin stopped abruptly. Scanning the room for Kim and Collin was extremely hard, there were people everywhere, the lights didn't helped that much either.

"Is everything okay?" Jay asked

"Yeah, just looking for Kim to let her know that we are going." She answered as she turned to face him.

"Just text her, tell her you are leaving." Jay said, wanting to her out of there right away.

Erin thought about Jay's idea, it seem practical, plus it meant that she could have him sooner. So she nodded. She grabbed her phone from her purse and texted Kim while Jay led her to the exit of the club.
