Okay this is going to be a shorter chapter so I can put all the action in one chapter.

The only source of light I can detect as I walk through the parking lot are the dim lights on the concrete walls. Scott and I just finished shopping for groceries and now we are heading back to the car. Everything is dark and dreary. A strong, familiar scent hits my nose and I turn on my heels swiftly. Scott's ears perk as footsteps fall behind us. The scent, which is much closer and stronger, enters my nose again letting me know who is following us.

"Go get in the car," Scott demands. "Scott, that's not really ness-" I try to tell him before being interrupted. "Do what I say!" he growls. I roll my eyes. "Whatever." I begin to walk on my own towards our small car. A howl is let out from a long distance away. Soon after Scott runs past the car and the growl follows him. I hop up onto the trunk and cross my legs, waiting for the 'killer' to come by.

"Do you think you can stop chasing my brother for a minute?" I ask, a smile appearing on my face. "Hmm. No can do, Little Bit," our predator whispers," but how'd you know it was me." "Your cologne. You should really lay off that stuff, Derek." "Well I have to go and scare your brother some more. I'll see you in a few," Derek kisses my cheek before sprinting after my brother. "Boys," I sigh, chuckling lightly.

Once footsteps round the corner, I hide behind the car next to ours. Scott jumps over the hood of Mom's car and hides. He is out of breath because Derek has scared him. I watch as Derek's hand reaches over the hood and pulls Scott on top. When Scott is successfully pinned to the hood by Derek, who's claws are drawn, I decide to step in. My hand grasps Derek's ankle throwing him backwards. He lands with a thud against the wall. "See your sister knows what she is doing," Derek says, patting away the dust that has fell on his jacket.

"That was fun and all but can we leave? I have to be at Allison's by eight or she will have my head," says Scott, fluster as he gets off the hood. "No," Derek responds. "No this isn't over?" I whine. "No as in you are not going to Allison's, Scott. You have no self control over your abilities yet," Derek states, his arms folded tightly. "Haha, that's the same thing our mom said the first time he asked to go over to her house," I joke. Scott sends a look of hate. I shrug, knowing that it is funny. "So Cameron, you are the one who makes sure he doesn't go over to her house," Derek looks down at me. "Why do I have to be his babysitter," I ask, whining. "I'll send over Isaac and Lyric to help." "Okay I'll watch him," I say, beaming. "That's what I thought," he says, walking away with a smile.

"I'm going to Allison's," Scott bluntly states not moving from his spot. "Not on my watch Lover boy," I pat his cheek," now get in and put your seatbelt on or do I need to do that for you?" He turns around and gets in, buckling his seatbelt by himself. As we ride down the road everything is quiet. "You better call her and tell her you aren't coming," I tell him. "What do I even tell her?" he asks, looking more worried than angry. "Jessie has the flu and Amanda is making you take care of her," I say, telling him an excuse that popped into my mind. "Fine," he pulls his phone from his pocket and dials her number. "Hey Allison, uhm I can't make it tonight. Yeah, Jessie is sick and Amanda is making me take care of her. Maybe I can come over this weeken-" he turns to me like a deer in headlights. "What is wrong?" "She hung up on me!" I bite my lip feeling annoyed at his pathetic excuse for a girlfriend. "Give me the phone," I demand, holding one hand out. "No," says Scott, holding the phone away from me. "Give me the phone or I will pull this car over and rip it from your fingers," I growl. With a terrified look, Scott hands me the cheap phone.

'Ring' I wait for her to answer. 'Ring' "Scott, if you are calling to say you are coming over don't bother," Allison yells. "I don't see how my brother puts up with you," I tell her merging off the road. I park under the car port. "Cameron? Why do you have Scott's phone?" she asks. "To warn you. If you ever hang up on my brother or yell at him because you are a selfish brat I promise I will come to your house and break off all of your fingers," I growl ,sounding as threatening as possible. "You can't touch me," she smarts off. "I advise that you keep your mouth shut because last time you opened it you ended up with a bruised jaw. Am I mistaken?" I ask her, my sassy side coming out. Scott reaches for the phone and tells her goodbye.
