Intro:
I guess you could say it all started the minute anyone knew I existed. That was the day things took a turn for the worst. When my mom found out she was pregnant she was devastated. My "mystery father" went running, never to be found. And it only got worse from there. My mom kept me a secret as long as she could, and even considered "getting rid of me". But she couldn't bare to live with that guilt. Finally when her shirts didn't cover her stomach and her pants refused to button she had to tell everyone. I wasn't much good news to anyone, more of a misfortune. My mom had to drop out of school (she was only 22). She had to quit her job after a while. Her life was changing as fast as mine was, and she wasn't ready for it.
People had to take care of my mom, but they didn't mind. They felt bad for her. Poor Mandy. She's so miserable. She's so young. She shouldn't have to go through this. But all of that was complete bull. She could have fixed all of this, it was her choice. But somehow in their minds it was my fault. And they would never feel otherwise.
With me being the first child to my mom, the first neice, and the first grandchild you would think everyone would be more than excited. Normally when someone's having a baby it's a big celebration right? Big party, baby shower, all that. Right? Not here. There was no celebration, no congratulations, nothing. It was just something that was going to happen whether they liked it or not.
