"Joseph? Where are you?" The old man called as he walked through the garden, peering around every bush he could find. This man was the 54 year old Jonathan Joestar. He had once saved his country, and possibly the entire world, when he was but 19 and bested Dio Brando, his evil step-brother who had underwent vampirism, in battle. But you would probably never guess it based on his appearance. Although he was still rather muscular and fit, he had definitely shrunk and weakened slightly, and his once indigo blue hair was greying. But his shining, kind and friendly personality never vanished. He always took great care of his darling wife, Erina, and made sure that his only son, George II, had a merry childhood. And now, especially since he had been left parent-less, he had promised to ensure that his grandson, Joseph, could have one also. "Joseph? Come on, come out.." He said gently, constantly turning around in case he spotted him stalking him. He heard a small giggle from above him, and craned his neck to look up into the large oak tree that stood firmly beside him. He was then greeted by the sight of his grandson, who was clinging to some branches and peering out from amongst the leaves, grinning down at him. "Hellllllloooo grandpa Jonathan! Why don'cha come on up here with me? It's comfy, with a really really splendid view.." He asked, starting to giggle again. Jonathan sighed and shook his head, his eyes closed, but couldn't help but smile softly. "You know Joseph, I'd love to, but you know that if I go up there, I'll probably won't be able to get down. Joseph looked at the ground and bit his lip, looking thoughtful for a few moments. Then he looked up and chuckled again. "I bet you'll be able to get down if I push you hard enough!"
Jonathan laughed heartily. "Ha! I hope that's a joke! I wouldn't survive the fall!"
"Hmm.."
"Anyway, your Grandma Erina is finished making dinner. Come on, it wouldn't do to keep her waiting for too long."
"Awwww, grandpa! I want to stay here! It's fun! Dinner is boring anyway, all I get is vegetables. Yuck!"
"No, you don't. You get plenty of meat, bread, water, milk, as well as some treats! A balanced diet is what you need to become big and strong, Joseph. Isn't that you want to be? A big, strong, muscular ripple user like your grandpa?"
"Oh! Are you going to teach me more things about Hamon, grandpa Jonathan?"
Another large smile formed on Jonathan's wrinkled face. He loved how interested in Hamon his little grandson had always been, since it was identified that he had born with the gift of the Ripple. He tried his best to give him the best training he could, and felt that he would be much more powerful with the ability when he reached the age of 19 than he was. "Yes, I promise, but you have to come down and eat all of your dinner first!"
Joseph seemed to consider this proposal for a few seconds, then hopped off of the tree and landed neatly on his feet. "Okay, let's go." He said in a smug voice, as if he had been the one wanting to leave in the first place. The two set back along the path towards their home, Joseph constantly running on ahead but always stopping to wait for Jonathan every once in a while, not wanting to leave him behind. After Joseph retreated back to his grandfather for what must've been the fifth time, Jonathan made a small lunge towards him, grabbed him and pulled him close, wrapping him in a bear hug. "Arghh! Grandpa! Let go!" Joseph squealed, squirming. Jonathan smiled. "I can't just yet." He picked Joseph off of the ground, and set him on his shoulders. "There. Do you like being up that high?"
"Yeah! I can see everything! I feel like a bird!" He replied, looking around himself wildly, amused. Jonathan smiled. "Come on, we're nearly there." Jonathan continued walking, carefully holding on to Joseph so that he was secure.

Shortly afterwards, they arrived. Jonathan, although he struggled to stay 100% Patient while teaching his grandson good table manners, enjoyed the meal. Indeed, he enjoyed his current life with his wife, grandson, and close family friend, Speedwagon, and wouldn't give it up for the world.
