Love is a tricky thing. It can come in so many different shapes and forms and each type has it's own definition. The most challenging kind of love to define has to romantic love. Many have tried, but still no one knows the true meaning. This is my own experience, as of the moment, with this kind of love.
As a child, loving comes very easily. Your parents, your family, and friends are all subject to this love. Children are very accustomed to loving others this way, but not until you've grown past childhood and into teen-hood does loving someone beyond a friend cross your mind. To a lonely teenage girl such as I, this form of love is a new and mysterious force to be reckoned with. I, along with countless others, are sure to agree with this sentiment. The commonly used phrase, "butterflies in my stomach", is the best way to describe this abnormal thing. I've felt these "butterflies" before. In fact, I know them all to well. When I look into a certain pair of eyes on a lanky, awkward, teenage boy who's experience with romantic love is probably as limited as mine, the "butterflies" make their appearance. This boy's eyes are beautiful and entrancing eyes that confuse my brain beyond anything that could remotely resemble a conscious thought. This obscure emotion surfaces in my heart as I stare into the wonderful mix of blue, green, and gold flecks ringed by a forest of lashes. His laughing eyes light up along with his wide smile, as well as my inability to speak a whim of wit. Sometimes I wonder where these feelings came from. What caused me to see this perfectly normal boy of 13 as something more? Falling for a certain pair of eyes, no matter how it happened, almost literally takes over your entire mind. When you close your own eyes, another take their place. Long nights are spent pondering the worth of a laughing gaze. I know when I am older I'll look back on these days of aimless feelings and think myself a fool. Maybe I am such. A love-drunk, naive little fool. Only time will tell. As for now, I believe I have found a reflection on a pair of beautiful, sea-deep blue-green eyes.

This is just me practicing writing skills. I know it isn't very long, but it's just because I don't like writing really long stories (lol I'm just lazy). I would REALLY appreciate constructive criticism, so if you feel the need, please leave a comment giving your opinion.
