Chapter 27: I Miss You
April 1st, 2013
Dear Mother,
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if your thoughts were written down like in a chapter book? What the chapters would hold, how they would describe what your life is like?
I find that chapters on my life would be rather complicated. I learned to keep distant from many but as close as I can with my few friends. I never really wanted to be that kind of girl that was friends with everyone but had no designated group. That's what I used to be. I was pretty popular and got a lot of attention trying to fit in. I guess I realized it's better to have real friends than lots of friends.
Anyways wanted to let you know everything. Haven't written to you in a while. I miss you. XOXO,
Savannah

Dear Savannah,
I love you so much and miss you like crazy. Life's been tough. I got your letter. You are such a smart and beautiful girl along with your sister. Make mistakes, but fix them. I know you're not one to take no for an answer. Don't regret because at one time it was exactly what you wanted.
Love you always,
Mom
-------------------------------------
I thought about what my mom wrote the entire day. I didn't know how my mom wanted me to fix all these mistakes I've currently made in the last few months but I knew she was right and I knew this was the only way I could ever truly live with myself. Maybe this would rid the whole regret feeling I have, so there I was standing behind Mac as he knocked on Evie's bedroom door. My heart was racing as Evie asked who it was. When she told Mac to come in Mac opened the door and there she was with a tub of ice cream and I couldn't help but notice it practically half eaten. It was my favorite ice cream flavor too, Chunky Monkey.
"Don't worry there's more," She giggled as she noticed Mac and I both staring intently at the ice cream tub. I truly miss my best friend.
And when I looked into her eyes with a smile hoping to be friends again, for some reason she looked at me back with the same expression that must be on my face. And that for one made me happy.
I asked her to forgive me for making a big deal out of things that night and she excepted and she asked me to forgive her because she said she was being a 'selfish friend', whatever that means.
She truly was the only person I felt who would ever forgive me and mean it. I loved her for that.
The rest of the night I spent eating Chunky Monkey while watching a Harry Potter Marathon with Mac, Colton, and Evie. Yes Colton showed up after he heard we were having a Harry Potter Marathon.
All four of us were squished together on Evie's bed under the covers and truly having a great time and that's how we spent the rest of the night together. I missed spending times like this.
