After seeing Nate practically run into Brenda's room when the people in waiting room heard that they could go visit the people involved in the car accident, Megs decides it probably isn't appropriate to go gatecrash their reunion, so instead she goes to find either Megan or Lucy.

Going to the doors of every room and peaking inside, she starts to regret not asking a doctor where she could find Megan or Lucy, but her naturally stubborn self decides that it is too late to ask now and that she is going to find them by herself.

After going into what feels like a hundred rooms, she peeks her head around another room to be greeted by yet another stranger, but there is something about this one that stops her leaving the room again and trying to find her friends. She feels weirdly drawn to him, something deep inside her telling her that maybe she shouldn't leave the room, so instead, she finds herself a seat besides his bed and sits down.

For the first time after entering the room, she studies the boy, taking in everything she can about him. His hair was a beautiful brown colour and extremely curly. It looks long enough that you could probably scoop it up and fit it in a man bun without it all falling out or looking dreadful. Megs smiles to herself a little while thinking about the male with a man bun in his hair but then realises how creepy that probably is and stops herself. He is a complete stranger who is unconscious in his bed for some unknown reason, and here she is, watching him sleep. Yet she doesn't want to move, she doesn't want to leave his side. Why does it matter anyway? She asks herself, it's not like there's anyone else to be by his side when he wakes up. Surely a random stranger is better than being alone, right?

After sitting by the male's side for about half an hour, a doctor walks into the room most likely to check how the male is doing. He compares the male's current situation to a checklist and sighs when he's done before turning to Megs who is still sat in the seat near his bed, "Are you a friend? Girlfriend? Family..."

Megs pauses before replying, unsure of what to say. She knows she probably shouldn't lie, but if she fears that if she says who she really is, the doctor will most likely tell her to leave, and she doesn't want to do that. So instead she lies, "I'm a friend, we uh, we know each other from.... School." She replies, when she sees a sense of disbelief on the doctors face she takes the time with the doctor as a prime time to ask a question about the male. "How is he? Like do you know how he's doing?"

The doctor sighs again before answering, "I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but he's in a coma. We assume it's caused by a traumatic brain injury from the car accident, especially as he's the driver, however we can not be sure until we've done more testing. I'm sorry again..." The doctor flashes Megs one last smile before leaving the room again. And just like that, she's back to being completely alone with the male, and honestly, she doesn't know what to do.

Almost by impulse, she moves from the seat next to his bed to kneel beside him, taking a deep breath before speaking. "You don't know me, obviously, and I don't know you, but I'm sorry for the fact you're in a coma. I'm sorry that the fact your car collided with my friends car resulted in this and I'm sorry that for some bizarre reason you are completely alone right now. You shouldn't be alone in here, you should have people here with you. You should have loved ones in here with you, a girlfriend even, I bet you have a girlfriend and she's gorgeous and loves you dearly, because that's what you should have. Not this."  She takes another deep breath before taking the males hand and giving it a tight squeeze. "I'm sorry for everything, and I'm especially sorry that I can't stay here the whole day and night, but I will make you a promise while I'm here, everyday I will come back here and visit you, I will see how you're doing and make sure you're okay. I will be here for you until you wake up. Unless of course, your gorgeous girlfriend shows up, and then she can keep you company instead of boring ol' me." She laughs sadly to herself and stands back up. "Bye stranger," Is the last thing she says before leaving the room.
