Sorry been on vacation. Here ya go.

Marcus is standing on the second level of the ferry at the front of the boat. His arms rest on the railing. He is looking out over the ocean.

Abby sees him and walks up to him. She nudges him with her arm, "hey."

Marcus smiles, "hey. What are you doing up here?" He asks.

"Oh. You know. Cool summer night. Romantic. Thought we could talk. Since you know we could die in the next six months." Abby says.

Marcus chuckles, "its funny in a way. We fought so hard to get down here just to die for the same reason."

"You know. After we fix this. Save the world and all that jazz. I was thinking we......you know......could start...a....a life..." Abby says.

Marcus stays silent thinking.

"I mean we don't have to. Just an idea." Abby says.

"I want to Abby. I really do. Its just.....Down here....things are just so.....temporary. And I lost someone I really cared about once. I don't want to go through that again. Especially with you. I don't want to lose you." Marcus says.

"You're not going to lose me." Abby says moving closer to him, her side touching his. She leans her head on his shoulder.

"I lost my father. My mother. Heck. I even lost Callie." Marcus says, scooting away from her and turning toward her, looking at her for the first time. "Everyone I have loved or even became involved with has been torn away from me. And I don't want that to happen to you."

"And you think I haven't lost anyone." Abby says taking a step toward him. "My mom. My dad. Jake. Callie."

Marcus stays silent so Abby continues, "I can't believe this. Do you really think that you have had it rougher then me?"

"Yeah! I have. My dad was a drunk and I had to watch every night as he beat the crap out of my mom and I couldn't do anything to stop him cause he was a member of the council and it was my word against his!"

"That's a really sad story. But do you know what I think? I think you were to scared to take a stand. And go against the freaking council." Abby says, her blood boiling. "You want to here about my home life?" Marcus once again doesn't say anything. "Try this. My dad was head of the guard. I had to live under the law. I was raised there was no other way but what the law said. And night after night my dad would go and drink and try to forget what he had done that day to families all over the ark. And then he would come home. Him and my mom would fight. Every night. And guess who they would take that out on? Me. You have no idea how many times I was sent to medical by teachers who were concerned about the various bruises I had received."

"So what is the difference? We both came out of bad homes." Marcus said.

Abby is inches from him, "The difference is you were a coward and I had no choice."

"And how am I a coward?" Marcus asks, not moving an inch. Not backing down.

"You didn't have both of your parents against you. You could've went and told, but you chose not to. You chose to keep quiet." Abby said.

"That goes both ways princess." Marcus says.

"Like I said. I had both of my parents threatening my life. You didn't." Abby says.

Marcus fought to say something, but he couldn't do anything. Couldn't think. Couldn't speak. Couldn't move.

Abby knows she's won. She smiles. Marcus goes back to looking at the ocean.
