Poised on my toes, I watch the trees. Ready to shoot. My bow is loaded, ready to fire at anything that comes past.

My mother taught me to shoot at a young age. I could use a bow before I could walk, or even talk! Well, she is the iconic Katniss Everdeen. I never inherited my father's talent for baking, and as many times as I tried I could not bake. I can tell I had disappointed him, but he is happy I can shoot.

I grab a rock from in the dirt and shoot a tree nearby. The deer I have been following for hours on hand, trots out from behind a tree. I am just about to let the arrow loose when something scares it away. It runs into the woods, far away from my reach. I turn towards to noise, where Rye is standing.

"Rye! I've been chasing that deer for hours! I could shoot you right now!" I yell.

"Well sorry about your luck Willow." He says.

"What is so important that you stormed out here! Scaring everything!" I say.

I cross my arms and glare at him. I want to send an arrow right through him. Most people say I have my mother's fiery attitude at times, and I believe them.

"Mom wants you." He says and points towards the house.

I groan and walk towards him.

"Thanks Rye." I say and roll my eyes.

I run through the woods, jumping over fallen trees, and avoiding branches. I run into the clearing, where the electric fence lyes. I crawl underneath the hole in the fence, and walk to the Victors Village.

I walk up the stairs to our front door. I push it open and set my things in the walk. I run my mother's game bag upstairs to my room. I throw her bag on my bed, and run downstairs to my mother's aid.

"Mom!" I yell.

"Willow?" She says and pokes her head up the stairwell.

"Did you get anything?" She asks.

"No. Rye scared a deer I was chasing for hours away!" I say when I reach the bottom of the stairs.

"Oh, Rye." She says between a chuckle.

"It's not funny!" I say.

"Well dinner is done." She says, "Your father made something special!"

I walk into the kitchen and sit at the table. I re-braid my hair and wait at the table. Shortly after, Rye walks in.

"Mom! Willow threatened to shoot me!" He says.

"Well, she didn't did she? We have more important matters right now." She says impatiently, "Both of you sit down please."
