Beep, beep, beep.
That was what I heard.
Itchy fabric.
That was what I felt.
Cleaning products and fertilisers.
That is what I smelt.
Dried blood.
That is what I tasted.
But I saw nothing.
So I let myself drift away.
Again.

"But if we just leave then nobody will ever know"
"Yeah, but the police might get suspicious if we disappear right after the accident"
"She's gone blind Harold! She is absolutely no use to us anymore, she will never have a career! I told you she was a disappointment! She has no confidence at all, no talent! She will never make us any money! She is useless, a waste; she belongs in the streets!!!"

My fate had been cruel, instead of killing me straight off, which would be the kind and forgiving way, I had somehow survived the crash.
