I stopped at the doors and thought for a second,

"No one has rented this place in 6 years"

I got up and jiggled the door handle,

Locked

I leaned over to the window and slid it open, I looked inside.

Fridge, sink, a living room that was kinda big, and a bed room on the upper floor. I walked over to the sink and switched it on, nothing, makes sense nobody lives here why have the gas, water and electric on. I found a key on top of the non-working fridge and unlocked the door to test it out,

"At least I have something that works" I muttered
I walked upstairs to the empty bedroom and set my bags down in the closet. I opened my bag and took out a small black purse, I put my badge, phone, ID, and money into it and looked out the window. I saw a car pull up, I looked closer and saw Sebastian. A wash of relief came over me. I went downstairs and made sure the windows were locked. I opened the door and I locked it behind me and stuck the key in my pocket.

"Hey" I heard,

"Hi Sebastian" I said getting in the car.

"Nice house" he said,

"Thanks" I replied.

"So how long have you been in New York?" Sebastian asked driving off,

"A few days" I lied

"Where did you come from?" He asked,

"I don't wanna live in the past, I came here for a fresh start" I explained.

"Well it's a nice place to start over." He said smiling driving away.

When we got to the restarant, we sat down and looked at eachother for a moment before the waiter came out and handed us menus,

"Anything to drink?" he asked,

"Ah a water and" Sebastian started turning to me,

"Water's fine" I said smiling,

"I'll be right back" the waiter said then walked off.

"So I'm your assistant" I said still shocked at the fact I landed a job my first day in New York.

"Well I hope so otherwise this is awkward" Sebastian said laughing,

"Oh I wanted to tell you that I have to go to LA for a Comic Con, and I got an extra ticket." He said pulling out the ticket and sliding it towards me,

"It's yours if you want it" he said smiling,

"I'd love too" I said taking the ticket.

"Good because Comic Con is a lot of work just for one person." He explained.

"I've never been to one." I confessed.

"Oh you'll love it, there's celebrities from a lot of different movies and tv shows, there's autographs, pictures, people dressing up, my fans.... It's amazing" he said

The waitress came back with our water and took our orders, me and Sebastian talked about Comic Con and his life. We ate our food and Sebastian paid the bill.

"Tonight was fun." I said as we walked towards his car.

"It was." He replied smiling.

"Next time we talk about you okay?" He added looking at me.

I tensed up a little and he noticed,

"We can talk about the good things." He said on his toes.

I looked at him and tried to smile but failing, we got into his car and he drove to my "house"

"Do you mind if I use the bathroom?" Sebastian asked.

I froze for a second,

"Um it's not working, um the pipes are frozen." I said unbelievable.

"This isn't your house is it." Sebastian asked curious.

"Yes it is, how else would I have a key?" I asked holding it up.

He bit his lip in thought,

"Okay" he said not able to come up with anything.

"But take this, I figured you don't know a lot of people here, if you need something just call." He said smiling.

"Thank you, I'm tired so I'm not even gonna switch the lights on...Goodnight" I said waving at him and getting out of the car.

He waited until I got in my house, then drove away. I locked the door and made sure everything was locked completely before using my phone light to make my way upstairs to lay on the carpet to try to sleep.
