Hello! Hope you enjoy this one of Marco "Scandy" Scandella, defenseman of the Minnesota Wild!

1700+ words! Enjoy!

"Marco!" You scream as you pound on the glass of the Excel Energy Center, sitting in your rink-side seats. Warm ups are just starting for one of the biggest games of the season. Your favorite defenseman on the Wild, your favorite team, of course is Marco Scandella. After you pound on the glass he looks up at you for just a second before scanning the crowd around you.

"Always just a part of the crowd," you say to yourself quietly. Your best friend comes down the stairs and makes her way over to her seat, the seat next to yours, holding a box of candy and two beers. "Hey (Y/BFF/N). Is there any good food?" You ask her as she hands you a beer.

"Theres some pizza but none of it looked worth the price or the calories," she answers. "So did Marco see you yet?" She asks. Ever since he entered the league, Marco had been your favorite player and she knew that. She even got you rink side seats, as a present, for this amazing game to give you a chance to see him play up close.

"I wish," you respond as you push your hair out of your face and fix your Scandella jersey so that its not stuck between your leggings. You bounce your foot up and down making a clanking noise with your boots. You're so nervous to see Marco play for the first time not on a TV screen. You can't take your eyes off of him.

Nate Prosser nudges Marco and says something to him noding in your direction. Marco looks up at him and then meets your eyes. He looks back at Nate for a few seconds, says something to him and then looks back at you. You hold eye contact while he fiddles with a puck, practicing his stick handling you assume. He opens his mouth a little and then closes it again. He looks as though he is about to skate over to you when Ryan Carter skates in between the two of you, facing Marco and talking to him.

Ryan and Marco talk for a while and before you get a chance to make eye contact again he has to skate off the ice to go back to the dressing room. "Oh my god. Did he just-? Did you just-?" Your best friend cuts herself off. "Did he just make eye contact with you? And hold it?"

"Yeah I think so," you say, disbelief clearly showing on your face, your jaw slacked with your shocked expression. You and your friend talk mindlessly until the players come back on the ice for the start of the game. As soon as Marco comes out he heads right over to where you and your friend are sitting. Luckily you are right next to the zamboni doors that leave the ice so Marco pushes on the doors, opening them a little and hands you a piece of paper through the door hinges before he closes he door and heads back over to his bench.

"Oh my god," your friend says again. "What does it say!!!" You open the folded piece of paper. Written on it is a little note:
I noticed that you were staring at me earlier. You are a beautiful girl with a great fashion sense (love the jersey) so I was hoping that you might wait for me after the game is over.

First you read it and then your friend reads it after you hand it to her. "Looks like it's gonna be a late night!" She says excitedly rubbing her hands together. You look up at Marco who's sitting on the bench. He locks eyes with you for a second and you smile and blush before Torchetti sends him onto the ice.

"Oh my god!! That was an amazing game! How can the wild just pull a win out like that? They hardly ever win! No offense. Even though I am a minnesotan," your friend rambles as you wait for the arena to clean out. She's right. So far this year Minnesota's record has not been very good. They have not pulled out any wins against big teams or in important games like this one.
