Thump, thump, thump the boards went as Edward went up the side of the Marksman. A 20-crew vessel with 14 cannons and a year and-a-half supply of food. At 27 years old, Edward is a man of brawn. Alongside his sister Alise, it was clear to see who was the stronger of the 2. Both part of the crew of the Marksman, they were experienced with sea travel and sailing. This being the longest supply run they both had ever done, it was clear to see how excited they were. As they were traveling from England all the way to America! "Ready for the big voyage? Edward, isn't it?"Captain Michael asked Edward and Alise, who tagged along. "As we'll ever be!" Exclaimed Edward as he shook the captain's hand. Michael, while being the nicest captain he met, wasn't the Marksman's first. The last captain died of old age, but there are rumors stating that the old captain was killed in his sleep. But neither Edward nor Alise believed in them. The old captain was a good, no, great man who respected everyone, and was strict when needed to be, it was impossible to find a reason to murder him But Edward didn't dwindle on it too much. Instead his mind was on introducing Alise. "This is my sister Alise. She manages the cannons." Alise gave a nod. "Hello."Alise was educated in speech, some say even more so then Edward, but usually gave the speaking role to her older brother. Then the captain gave a serious glance " Well, it's nice to have such a unique crew." Alise blushed in response. " Right then, you two, help me unload these last few crates." Commanded Michael, so that's what they did for the next ten minutes as the rest of the crew came aboard. An hour later, while everyone is saying their farewells, Edward and Alises mom hugs them both and says " I don't know what I'll do if I lost you both." She moans " but, we need the money... Be safe children!" And with that she lets go, but not without one last kiss goodbye. Edward and Alise board the Marksman. "Hoist the sails!" Someone cries, Edward does so, another cry " pull up the anchor!" Alise follows the command, and with that, they set sail, not only to America, but to the harshest Voyage either of them have gone through.
