The dry, slightly browned grass crunches beneath my tanned bare feet. My cardigan slightly drapes off of my right shoulder which comes to my attention, i quickly pull it up.
" come on Kayleen, you need to let loose " my best friend Lauren says, noticing my actions. She picked this outfit for me because she thought I needed to "show off my hot body" she chose a dark grey spaghetti strap belly-type shirt, a grey cardigan, and a pair of old high waisted denim shorts, Which I am not comfortable with wearing. I don't like to show off my body. I am just under 5'4 and around 135 pounds, compared to the other girls in Manhattan who are around 5'8 and 120 pounds with long tan legs. My friend Lauren (aka Lo ) is only a few inches taller than me with mid-length lilac colored hair. Her outgoing personality suits her hair color.
My hair is deep brown, naturally wavy, and reaches just under my chest, Lauren often suggests that I straighten my hair but i never listen. I like to stick to the natural look, nude lipstick, mascara, and a tiny bit of concealer to hide the discoloration of my typical sun-burnt face.
" Lo, you know how I feel about showing off my body " I say playfully yet serious. " I know, I know. BUT this look could just get you a date with Carsyn " she taunts. My heart races at the mention of his name. Carsyn is my neighbor who has been my crush since I moved into my apartment complex around 2 1/2 years ago. Carsyn is around 6'2 with beautiful hazel eyes and dark brown hair, and did I mention that his dad is the famous actor Daniel Sommers the most famous actor in all of the US?
