I couldn't stop staring at his beautiful features, so godly. Why couldn't I see him anymore? Oh wait. That's because Alison H Matthews, decided to block my view."Leyla, stop staring, your drawing attention." She chuckled, waving her hands before my face.
"He's so gorgeous... That jawline, I would totally just-" I could hear a distant cough, as I looked up at Mr Jacobson slightly embarrassed.
"Well Miss Jones I'm pretty sure you were engaged in my lesson." He muttered, I could faintly feel the 'I told you to stop' look from Alison.
"I was definitely listenting Sir I was just complimenting Macbeth's jawline..." I mumbled, earning snickers, from both Alison and Elliot. Wow. Worst excuse of the year. Fml.
"We are in Maths." He replied staring at me inquisitively, wow worst fail in the world. I would facepalm myself but Im sure Elliot will do it for me later.
I earned a disapproving look and he stalked off, occasionally glancing at me. He was probably just trying to find one more reason to send me to the Principal's office.
Don't get me wrong I don't misbehave but im not the teacher's pet either. That makes me average.
Now in typical stories, everyone goes for the delinquet who has all the girls falling at his feet. But I find Alex so cute.
Basic background story of Alex Heart, he is the cousin of my best friend Alison. And its not like he doesn't know me, we are pretty close actually, but only in the friend zone. And I'd like to keep it like that.
The sound of the bell, pulled me out of my daydream, as I rushed out of class, not wanting to catch Mr Jacobson's attention. I definitely did not need a "word," especially when I know that's teacher language for lecture.
I stalked down the hallway, I wasn't the new girl but I did transfer recently so I haven't mastered memorising where everything is. I needed to go to the toilet, well done Leyla you need to pee and your lost. Ugh fml.
Why Alison did you volunteer on the day I needed you the most? Alison had to dash to the library to help out so that makes me alone for now.
I scurried down the hallway, not even giving a fuck about the direction until I realised I had totally just bumped into someone.
Staring down at me, was the most handsomest guy- just kidding, you guys totally fell for it. I wish school was that cliché but suprisingly there are barely any hot guys around.
Well, he wasn't even staring down at me but actually the opposite. It was a prepubescent nerd with braces and red acne. Puberty. Ew, worst time period, I felt sorry for him, I couldn't help being sympathetic towards him so I quickly moved out of his way, as his lip quivered uncontrollably, I almost thought he was going to cry. Weird.
I finally found the cafeteria, everyone was either eating or gossiping. Immediately I found myself staring at a boy.
He was over 6ft for sure, but it wasn't a height which would scare you away. Something about him was mysterious, almost like he was angry. Bad boy alert. His hair was a chocolate brown and tousled as if he didn't give a fuck about how he woke up, and his eyes were a rich brown. Wow. I don't think I've seen him around before.
Right beside him was Alex, his hair was dirty blonde, and his eyes were a deep blue. He was a little shorter than the unknown guy and less muscular, yet they were both fit. Alex was charming and goofy, and a man baby basically.
That guy was so hot. I don't think I've ever seen anyone as hot as that. Wow.
And that's what I literally thought about all day.

After school ended, I drove home in my Mercedes. I was living in a household where we weren't stressing over money, that didn't mean we were rich. We just lived good and average lives. The Mercedes was a splurge, but it was a hand-me down from my elder sister who had upgraded and moved to an entirely different continent. Don't get me wrong, I was obviously grateful that it was still in great condition, better than nothing.
As I parked my car in the driveway, I already knew my mother was going to be home and Kenny would be home too.
That was the routine, we were a happy family, dinners always at the table, always together. But that was a stereotypical depiction of American families, they were supposed to be perfect. And that's what my mother wanted.
Anyway less about my family, I walked inside only to be greeted by both my parents. Wow, thats really surprising.
They were never at home together, ever.
"Sweetie! We have some exciting news. Since your father's business is expanding, he was invited to a business conference." She chirped, I don't get why this is so exciting but I let her continue.
"So we decided to take Kenny along with us, it will only be for two months, and I have decided to go as well." Wait? Wtf. Where does that leave me?
As if they read my face, my dad nervously answered, probably afraid of my answer,"Honey, you'll be staying with a good friend of mine. We can't take you because your going to be doing important exams soon."
Okay. It's not that bad. I don't know who the Riversons are. They are probably going to be nice.
Well I hope.
