Fuck it. I'm gay.
In light of recent events, especially in Orlando, and the anger I've got bubbling inside me, it doesn't really make sense trying to deny it anymore. I'm gay. And if that lame attempt at being straight wasn't shitty enough to pull the wool from over your eyes, and if me exclusively writing gay slash books didn't hint it enough and if me referencing:
a) The Golden Girls
b) The Spice Girls
didnt make it particularly obvious, let me tell you.
I'm so gay. Yes, that was a reference to Just Friends. Yes,this is a plug for Just Friends(go read it).
Beyonce is my Queen.
I don't say 'girl' when Taylor Swift says 'boy', in her songs (I own all three of her last albums. All three).
and yes, I would actually get it on with Dylan O'Brien(or anyone from Teen Wolf, to be honest). I am gay.
It's strange to think that in 2016 this kind of bullshit is the fuckery me and my people (blacks, the gays, immigrants) have to deal with. Not just in America but everywhere. Canada notwithstanding. I <3s Canada. It's gotten to the point where I just can't sit back and be quietly pissed about it.
I'm so opinionated and so strong in my beliefs that it's kind of impossible to be.
I'm not some social justice warrior or some misinformed tumblr kid - I think I'm a little too old and by consequence, a bit slower to enrage now - but there's just a point where you've got to stand up for your people or you're a part of the system that keeps us down.
So, make your voices heard on social media to start the conversation, not just on this horrific, history-making(and I mean that in the most negative way possible) incident, but also on sexual orientation as a whole.
-Chris.
I leave you with this gif of Dylan O'Brien:
