When I got inside my massive English styled house my mother greeted all of us as we came in. "Val, honey, how did it go?" I
t was so awesome!, I met this really cute guy from Ireland named Casper, he was so nice and he let me sit with him an his friends at lunch.
"Wow honey that's great!" She says smiling. I have a snack before you go to swimming.
"Thanks I say before heading upstairs. I rest my backpack down on the arm chair. I take a moment to just drool over all of my One Direction posters. The boys are so gorgeous! I grabbed my toiletry bag and headed across the hall towards the bathroom. I turned the hot water on and let the tiny water droplets pound on my skin. The heat relaxed my tense muscles just the way I wanted them to. I stood under the shower after I was done washing myself and just thought about my day. I thought about Casper's blond curls, Liza's long brown hair, Kyle's pale blue eyes and Finn & Jake's lovely freckles. I honestly had a great day, it went better than I expected it to. I came out and put on my swim suit. Just because I left Switzerland doesn't mean I stopped swimming. I would now swim for Sweden's junior team. I did do gymnastics before and I did just about as well in it as i did in swimming but I swore to never do it again because that's something my friends and I did. It wouldn't be the same without them. Downstairs Kendall & Kylie were stretching and warming up for gymnastics. Seeing them in their leotards brought back memories. I sat down and ate my snack while watching them land back handsprings. My phone vibrated on the counter and my ring tune played. I answered on the first ring, I mean who else wouldn't, it's One Direction and you just have to answer immediately! I swiped to answer.
"Hey, his usual giggly voice warmed my heart through the other end of the telephone line.
"What's up?" I say picking my fingernails. I'm heading to swimming in a few so now may not be the best time to to talk.
"What center?" "Um, SGSC." I say.
"Cool, talk to you later Val."
"Yeah, you too." I say and hang up. I finish my sandwich and grabbed my duffle bag and went outside.
I took off my sweats and put on my swimming cap and dove in to the pool. It was fairly warm and I felt comfortable already. I did my warm up laps and practiced my different styles. Across from where I was swimming was a huge glass window that you could see straight through into the gymnastics center. I saw Kylie attempt a double back handspring and fail. Kendall did hers right and stuck her tongue out at her blond sister.
"Damn, those two are so competitive!"
"Come on Chandler stop day dreaming and finish your laps, just because you're the best doesn't mean you have to stop training!" My coach says.
"If I wanted to stop training I wouldn't be here" I say
"Excuse me?" "I wasn't trying to be rude, I was just saying." "Out of the pool you have 15 minutes of punishment young lady move it!"
"Ah shut your trap." I mutter as I walk over to the bleachers. I sat down and sighed pulling my water bottle out of my bag. The fifteen minutes rolled by quickly and I was back in the pool. Today was where we'd be tested for our strengths. Of course I had no problem with this at all. The training was hard but not as hard as in Russia! Kendall, Kylie and I went to Moscow to train at their aquatics center because my mother felt that we weren't training hard enough. Kendall & Kylie almost died when they saw the level of intensity. Thank God I didn't do gymnastics. They came home all broken up everyday. But swimming was different in a way, lies! We had to swim 30 laps using all the styles so that's freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly so basically that's 120 laps in total. Non- stop. Daily. Never again!! But now when I look back at it I don't regret it at all it made me far more advanced than these swimmers. I finished my practice on my butterfly and I stop to take a break. It was 6:15 Yes! Fifteen more minutes until I have a life again. I went over to the diving board and got a few dives in before time was up. I always wanted to try a back flip off of the diving board so I took my risk and i didn't splat! SPLASH!! I landed into the pool and came back up to see Casper and the twins killing themselves laughing. I start laughing too.
"What are you guys doing here?" I say climbing out of the pool while Casper hands me my towel.
"Oh these two always come here to watch their girlfriends do gymnastics.
"Oh." I say taking off my cap and drying my hair.
"I missed you." he says tickling me. I shake my head wetting his plain white tee. I gathered my stuff and we walked over to the gymnastics center. He gestured to where the twins were sitting watching their lovers. The two silver blond twins waved at us and we waved back.
"Oh you mean Sasa & Sasha?" I ask.
"Yeah them. " They're so nice, they showed me around when I first came here." They glance back at Finn & Jack from the beam and blow kisses at them and the boys return the sweet gesture. "OOOOOO, Val's got a boyfriend." Kylie's blond hair and hazel eyes appeared. Kendall dragged her away and said,
" Don't worry about this blabber mouth, I'll call dad to come and pick us up and I'll come in and get you when he comes okay Val?" She said smiling. She was so understanding for a 12 year old, she only did that to take the attention off of me. I'll thank her later.
"So..." Casper says breaking the awkward silence between us.
" Would you like to come over for dinner.? I asked.
"Tonight?" he asked clearly surprised.
"Yeah sure, why not?" My mother and sister are both dying to meet you.
"Of course I'll come over. "Let me ring my parents first." He says.
"Val." Kendall calls. Dad's here.
"Come on I say," as he hangs up.
