Cormac closed the small tear in the ground, which had previously revealed the dark dimension in which he lived. Looking to the sky, he could only glare. This was the first time Cormac had left his void-like, "cozy" home in a decade, and he was hoping he could find someone or something to add to his collectioyn.

Ethan was casually strolling by when he saw the earth open and a guy came out. He decided to stick around and see what all this is about. Keeping at a distance, he watched behind a tree.

Brushing the cosmic dust from his pitch black clothing, Cormac sighed and tried to get a gander at his surroundings. He was annoyed by how bright and cheerful everything seemed, how visible all of it was.

Ethan watched from afar, making sure to say at a distance and not get too close.

Before Cormac knew it, a wide grin had made its way onto his face. Clearing his throat, he spoke in a low, dark, smooth like silk tone. "I know you are here..." Spoke Cormac, clearly enjoying the opportunity to toy with whoever was near.

"Oh, okay that means I don't have to hide." Ethan just walks out, smiling.

"Why are you outside so late, child?" Inquired Cormac, seemingly pleased with his new "acquaintance."

"Um, it's only like what? 11? Maybe? And I am out on a walk and wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood."

"That is sweet of you. However, I am very sure that you saw where I had emerged from, is that not worrying?"

"Nah, I've seen someone burn down a whole island, and mind you that this island was flipping huge, that ain't shit."

"I have destroyed worlds. Universes. Planes of existence."

"Sounds fun. What's your name?"

Cormac was silent for a long while, before finally muttering in his gentlest tone, "would you like to see where in which I reside, young one?"

"Um, no thank you. I have a meeting tomorrow at 5."

"What sort of meeting?"

"Just a meeting with my friends. They get mad if I skip."

"Well do not fret, we will be back in 10 minutes."

"Ehh, if you say so. What's it like there?"

"It is very cozy, like the sensation you feel in sleep."

"Hm, I change my mind. Thank you for the offer, but I'm gonna have to politely decline. Welcome to town, even if you stay for a minute." Ethan just walks away.

Cormac grabs Ethan's arm. His hand is cold and like stone. "You cannot change your mind now, silly human" Said the now irritated Cormac, in his most disgustingly malevolent tone of voice.

Ethan ripped his hand away. "Yes, I can. See watch. I am leaving now." Continues walking away.

Cormac was relatively pleased with the strength of this 'Ethan,' but alas latching onto Ethan's arm once again and dragging him. "You really are something 'special,' aren't you?"

"My friend calls me special. Probably for different reasons." Ethan tried again to rip his arm away. When that failed, he sent a burst of electricity through Cormac.

Admittedly, Cormac jumped. He did not expect that in the slightest, and...It stung. Shaking his head, Cormac resumed dragging this..."Ethan." Gross..

He sends another electricity shock through Cormac, a lot more than last time.

Cormac, trying not to fall or let go, rips open a space in what looks like the air. "What's with the electricity, snowflake?" Cormac almost choked out through clenched teeth.

Another burst of electricity.

Letting out a yell, Cormac hurls Ethan through the space.

Ethan grabs Cormac's arm tightly, wrapping his arms around Cormac's.

Cormac squints in confusion, "what the hell...?"

Ethan jumps off Cormac and a little ways away. He then shocks Cormac with a constant shit ton of electricity.

Cormac vanishes, although he's still there. He'd still be visible if you could see where everything is distorted around him.

"Haha bitch." Ethan consistently using the electricity, shocking Cormac. When the electricity gets locked on a target, it doesn't get unlocked unless Ethan stops the flow.

"He's not here anymore!" Cormac puts on the voice of someone else in attempts to convince Ethan that he had actually left.

Ethan was confused. "But the target is still locked?"

"It's probably hitting the bush instead!"

"It's not hitting anything. It's vanishing in air."

"I don't know then, maybe it's just a mistake!"

"It never makes mistakes."

"Everything does."

Ethan was about to stop the flow when a lone voice in his head spoke up. "No matter what, magic never fails." Gray had once said to him, and Gray was the master at magic. He didn't stop, he made more electricity.

Cormac was irritated. Using magic of his own would prove difficult, but he had to.
Using the remaining strength that had not been suppressed, Cormac tried to cause the earth to open up below Ethan's feet, revealing the unending void below.
If he takes one step into my realm, he'll be powerless! Cormac thought with a smile.

Ethan looked down and saw the earth opening. He went wide eyed and moved, without stopping the electricity. He caused more electricity.

Cormac seemed more annoyed than anything by this point, and you could see the outline of his narrowed black eyes once again as he became visible.

"You lied. I don't like liars."

"Oh boo-hoo, poor little you." Cormac snapped as the ground split beneath Ethan once again. The space kept opening until it was a small canyon, with a pitch black abyss below.

Ethan kept avoiding the cracks the best he could.

"God DAMNIT!" Cormac yelped, cracks in the ground no longer appeared. His eyes took on a sad, glossy tone and he then gave up, thinking he would come back in another decade and...Perhaps more politely, find someone to join him for the sake of being less lonely. Until then, he tried his best to simply bear the pain presented to him, taking a slow step forward. It seemed that Cormac did not plummet into any of the abysses that he had opened up, and could walk over them as if they weren't there. He simply stared, a look tired and lonely. Cormac would plead to be let go if he did not want to sound too weak. It would have been more humiliating than he already felt, then. He didn't like being looked upon as weak and pathetic, but he knew that he was.
