Odd Ball Out

Chapter One. The letter that started it all.

   I sat alone in my room on my bed reading manga. Until I heard a slight knock on the door. I set the comic down and walked over to door. I opened it to find my mother holding a golden envelope. "Whats that mom?,"I ask curiously. She simply hand it to me with a slight smile. I carefully open the golden envelope and I took the letter inside of it out. I unfolded it gently and read aloud. "Dear Honie Aino. We are proud to say you have been selected out of the entire state to join us at Mizera Ousan Private Academy. We have given you a full scholarship to attend our school free of charge. We hope to see you at admission's day on September 7th of this year."My face lit up and I ran up and hugged my mom. "Oh dear. Im so proud of you, But admissions day is two days from now. You better get packing," mom said before walking downstairs. I closed my door and sat on my bed. "What do I bring to a school meant for rich and royal people. Im no where near rich and the only royal thing I have is my cat which I named royal," I said falling back onto my bed. All I remember was that until I fell asleep and didn't wake up till the next day around 4:30 probably because my mom gave me the letter when she got home at 12 pm since I forgot to check the mailbox.
     I woke up and opened my eyes slowly. I laid there till I realized I have school tomorrow. I jumped up and packed my newest and prettiest clothes. I took only the real jewelry I had which was my birthstone necklace and a gold ring my grandfather bought me. I took my prettiest and cleanest shoes and other things like my hair brush and make-up. I rushed downstairs and saw my mom had already left. I just sat on the couch and watched tv until I fell asleep.
   The next morning I went up to my room grabbed my bags and said goodbye to my mom. Since Mizera Ousan Private Academy was a boarding school I wouldn't see my mom for a while. I took the bus there and once I got there I realized Im not royalty or rich. I wouldn't make any friends at all. I stepped off the bus and took a quick look around. 'Oh Honie. What did you sign up for,'I thought.
        I walked over to the dorm roaster and looked for my name. Once I did I found out I had a presidential suite on the top floor of the east hall. 'East hall?' I thought. I turned around and almost bumped into this boy. "Whoa watch where your going darling," He said running his fingers through his blonde hair. I looked up at him. "Oh I'm sorry. Im just a bit lost," I said looking at the ground. "Lost? First year huh? Well Where do you need to go,"He asked nicely. "East Hall. My dorms there," I said shyly. "Okay then follow me," He said grabbing my hand pulling me away from the bunch of people looking for their dorms on the roaster.
      As we walked I stood quiet. I wasn't sure what to say. "So what family you from?,"He said with his hand in his pocket."uh family?," I said confused. "Yeah like...what family? Whats your last name," He asked. "The Aino family..I supposed," I said confused. "Aino?...hmm I never heard of them..are they royalty or wealthy," He asked as if it was a casual question. "Neither. Im just normal...i guess,"I said a bit flustered. "Hmm a commoner then. You must be really smart. Im Hikaru Tsukune. My family owns the best medical research hospital in Japan. They also own the biggest car selling brand and Electronic devices and Oh I never asked your name,"He said looking at me in the corner of his eye."oh it's Honie..,"I said looked down. "Are you as sweet as honey Honie?,"He said giggling as we stopped in front of the building. "Well this is it. Welcome to Mizera Ousan Private Academy..I hope to see you around Honie,"He said winking and then walking off. I blushed a little. 'Only 15 minutes in and your already crushing on a boy. Great..' I thought and walked inside.
       I walked over to the elevator and pushed the button. Behind me came running a girl with hazel hair with green eyes. "HOLD THE ELEVATOR!,"She yelled as she ran to me. The door opened right when she ran towards it causing her to smash into the elevator wall. I walked in. "You okay miss?,"I said helping her up. "Yeah Im usually clumsy,"She giggled."hey you must be new. I haven't seen you around and I've been here since grade school. Im princess Kadri Ayoko. What's your name?,"She said smiling. I bowed after she said princess. "Honie Aino your highness," I said shyly and obviously nervous. "Im not high. I don't even smoke. I find it unhealthy and unwise to smoke," She smiled and as soon as she did the elevator opened. 
      We walked out and she had the room next to me. "Oh Honie. If you ever need anything Im right next door,Kay?," She said kindly before walking into her room. I smiled and walked into my room. It was huge! It had a curtained bed with pink floors and white walls. Tons of shelfs filled with classical books and a computer desk next to my huge bed. It had fluffy pillows and the floors were polished so good I could see my reflection. I had a huge walk in closet and a window seat! Its was beautiful. I set my bags down and took out my school uniform and slipped it on. As I looked into my vanity mirror and fixed my tie I thought of something. 'You are a commoner compared to these high classed people. You must act like them so they won't even notice that your a commoner!'I thought as I walked up to the door and took a deep breath. "Here it goes,"I said placing my hand on the knob,and opened the door and walked out.
