Prolouge

As the last Titan fell onto the ground, the soldiers stayed silent for a moment before shouting in victory. It was the end... They had finally won the battle. All of their pain and sacrifices finally paid off. The remaining soldiers shouted in victory and raised an arm with a blooded sword in their hands. Humanity has finally won against Titans.

But it wasn't a happy ending for the Corporal...

Levi looked around in worry and frustration for the brunet, who had promised him he would be alive until the very end of the battle. But.. Sometimes promises are broken. He soon came upon to see Eren, who was covered in blood and wounds. The corporal slightly widened his eyes and rushed to him, quickly crouching to his level.

"H-Heichou... L-l-Levi..." The brunet croaked, his voice broken and weak. "Oi, I th-thought y-you promised to stay a-alive you shit." Levi stuttered, starting to tremble.

He felt scared. He didn't want to lose the only person who helped him through everything. He didn't want to lose his only world..

Eren sadly smiled at him and sniffed, staring at his silver eyes. "I-I.." He raised up an arm which was covered in wounds and cupped Levi's face with it. "L-love..." He whispered, gently caressing his face and teared up. "Y-you.." He croaked before closing his eyes and letting his hand fall to the side.

"N-no... Fuck. Eren, wake up you piece of shit.." Levi teared up, putting both of his hands on his shoulders and started shaking him. "W-wake up y-you shit! Y-you promised to stay alive!" He shouted and teared up, his body starting to tremble. "Y-you... You promised to b-be with me until the end you brat! Wake up!" He shouted before slowly stopping to shake him.

He started crying and hides his face into the brunet's chest, only to cry more since he can't hear his heartbeat. "Wh-why does everyone l-leave me..." Levi sobbed, not caring if he got dirty. He screamed on the top of his lungs and held the brunet close. "Wh-why..." He whimpered, holding the brunet close to him.

"I'm a-always alone..." Levi whispered to himself.

Timeskip~

After a few days, all the soldiers that have died during the war has been given with a proper burial. Especially Eren. In those days, Levi spent it by locking himself inside the room. He didn't want anyone to see him in such a pathetic state. The male himself knew that Eren wouldn't want him to be in such state and would try lecturing him, which just made Levi feel more worse.

"Hey... Levi? You still alive?" Hanji asked and knocked on the door, a small worried frown resting on her face. "You haven't been out for days, and it's your boyfriend's burial today. Aren't you going to come and see him for the last time?" She said in a worried tone.

The raven haired male quickly stood up from his position and walked over to the door, slamming it open. His hair was messy and there were fresh droplets of his tears on his clothes. "He's not fucking dead, sh-shitty glasses..." Levi slightly glared at her before letting out a sigh and looked down. He chewed on his bottom lip and sighed, trying to hold back any tears from falling.

Hanji sighed and wrapped his arms around him, comforting him for a moment before pulling away. "You're a mess, Levi.." She commented and puts a hand on his shoulder, flashing him a sad smile. "Now, please get ready." She said before walking away. Levi lets out a small sigh and rubbed his eyes, locking the door. He noticed that his room was quite messy and got announced by it, so he started putting things back on where it belonged before starting to fix himself.

After a while, Levi soon finished and got of his quarters. He didn't want to go on his burial because he thought that he might just break down in front of everyone. After some time has passed, he regained his composure and looked at the mirror. He realized he looked utterly messy. He just fixed his clothes and hair, since he didn't want to go out looking like shit, and left the room.

While he was walking in a slow pace, memories of him and the brunet were playing in his mind. The more he had thought about it, the more he felt awful and depressed...
