Chapter 10

Thalia's POV

i woke up, bright lights blinding me, i looked at my surroundings, noticing i wasn't in the dark room anymore, there were 'Get Well' signs and the pleasant smell of flowers floated through the room. i looked down to my left, bruce was asleep on a comfy looking chair holding my hand, i smiled lightly and looked to my left where tony and steve were also asleep, their heads resting on the edge of the bed. i slowly moved my right hand, bruce twitched, and mumbled something before dozing off again, i tried again, this time he sat up so quickly i felt like my arm was going to rip right off, he looked around at what had touched him, his expression softened as he looked at me

"hi bruce" i whispered smiling slightly

"hi thalia, how are you feeling?" he said looking down at our interlocked hands, he smiled, then his face turned serious

"you were pretty bruised and battered when you came in here, they said you needed at least 200 stitches.." he said quietly, looking into my eyes "...i thought i had lost you" i looked down, blushing then looked back up, and noticed that a tear had fallen down his cheek. i unlinked our hands, kissed my thumb and used it to wipe away the fallen tear. he held his hand on mine resting it on his cheek and stared into my eyes, he smiled into my hand. i smiled back and rested my head back onto my pillow and let my hand fall from his face and to my side. i felt the bed move on my left side, i looked over and saw tony and steve yawn and slowly sit up in their chairs. i smiled and lightly waved at them, they tackled me into a hug

"guys. i. cant. breath" i gasped for air in between my words

"we thought we had lost you, thalia" tony said still hugging the life out of me, he let go and held my shoulders firmly, sitting in font of him "dont you ever scare us like that again!" he said sternly, but with a slight smirk on his face

"okay tony, i promise" i said laughing lightly under my breath. there was an awkward silence, until i broke it "well guys, thankyou for coming and checking up on me, it was really nice to see you all here for me" i smiled kindly at them "but i am super exhausted, so i think ill try and get some rest, come and visit again anytime. unless im asleep, ill slap the stupid out of you if you wake me during sleep" i said with seriousness, holding in the laugh that was going to escape, their faces dropped to a shocked look, until i couldnt hold it in anymore, i let out a loud laugh and their faces changed instantly to a smile. they got out of their chairs and headed for the door, waving as they left, my held was feeling really dizzy, like someone was searching my mind.. i let my head rest on the pillow, closing my eyes and slipping into a... dream? was this normal, i didn't think i was meant to know when i dream?

i ignored my questions and started to make out a small, black silhouette walking towards me, i squinted trying to get a better look, the silhouette forming into a person who looked all to familiar.
