"Gospel Girl"
So that's the end of Killian's depression story.
After that, Killian, Jenna, and Elenore were forced to move to Seatle,Washington with their grandparents. At this point Killian Noble had gone from a cheerful boy who loved the world so much he just had to capture every moment he could in his polaroids, to a boy who hated everything. He couldn't stand pictures anymore because they were like the keys to memories he did not wish to open back up.
So he burned every one of his pictures, all except for the one of the last sunset he cared to see in Texas. That one was buried with his father.
...
Their first day of school in Seatle went just as Killian had expected it to be. Boring and pointless. Apparently the curriculum was a year behind in Washington so he already knew everything they were teaching him. And school lunch; even worse than Texas school lunch.
Looks like bag lunch for the rest of my life, he thought.
So yeah, Killian's day was going pretty horrible...that is until math class in seventh period. There was this girl that wouldn't stop staring at him! She had wavy red hair, and she wore just enough makeup to be pretty but not obnoxious. She wore these childish overall shorts with a floral t-shirt underneath and dirty red converse.
After the bell rang she finally came up to him.
"Hi! I'm Abigail, and-don't take this the wrong way-but I've sorta been watching you like all day and-"
Killian cut her off,"I know," He said with an aggravated sigh. "Why?"
"Well, you just look..."
"Emo? Depressed? Mentally unstable?" He asked with an eye roll.
"NO! No. I'm sorry I didn't mean to act like that. You just seemed sad." She felt terrible.
"And you're my own personal little support group aren't you?" he said sarcastically, "Well, I don't need you, carrot top, so just leave me alone and go spread the gospel to someone else." He continued, looking at her cross necklace.
Abigail was completely dumbfounded, WOW, she thought.
