I walked through the airport feeling tired and hungry after the long flight I had just endured. I wanted to get a can and arrive at my hotel suite as fast as possible so I could just relax and get to know the place.
Arriving outside the airport I was greeting by a cold and wintery breeze. I have never experienced snow before so this was all new to me. I did not like the frigid air and how it felt against my skin, but I did like the snow. it made everything look so pretty and crisp.
I walked down the sidewalk until I was able to find myself a cab. I have my driver directions and withing a few minutes I arrived at my destination.
It wasn't easy hauling in all of my luggage but I managed to do so. I walked inside where I immediately felt welcomed by all the friendly smiles of the people in the lobby and the warm heat.
The lady behind the desk welcomed me to the hotel and collected my information whereafter she handed me my key.
I stepped in the elevator and made my way up to the fourteenth floor.
Once the doors opened I gathered my things and headed down the hall. Looking back and forth from either side of the hall, I finally found my room.
I pulled out my key and unlocked the door revealing a dark, warm room. The floor was a dark grey ceramic tile with a black rug overtop of it in the living area. The walls were white along with the furniture. To the right was a fairly large kitchen, and next to the kitchen was a hallway. Down the hallway there were four doors. One on the left, two on the right, and one at the end of the hallway. On the right were two smaller bedrooms and to the left a decent sized bathroom. Straight ahead is the largest room with its on ensuite. I, of course, took the largest bedroom for myself and began unpacking. I put my clothes into drawers and hangers and my shoes on the closet shelves. I organized my things in the bathroom and put my empty bags and suitcases under the bed until I would need them again. It has been about an hour or two since I had been in my hotel room and I started to get hungry. There was plenty to eat in the room but nothing that really satisfied me. I was in the mood for a cup of coffee and maybe a warm brownie. I changed into a pair of ripped skinny jeans and a dark grey oversized sweater and threw on a black scarf. I quickly pulled my hair into a bun and slipped on a pair of knee high black boots. I grabbed my purse, which contained my wallet, phone and keys, and headed out of the hotel.
It was a bit chilly but not as bad as when I had first arrived. I walked down about two blocks before I found a little caffe. I walked in and waited in line. I wasn't even in there for five minutes and some idiot walking out manages to bump into me and spill their coffee all over me.
"Oh shit, I'm so sorry. That was completely my fault" he said.
It was somewhat awkward with everyone around us staring, but I tired to ignore it.
"It's not a big deal don't worry about it" I replied.
He smiled at me and laughed before grabbing a handful of napkins and cleaning up the mess on the floor. I repeated his actions and helped him out with the spill.
"There has to be a way I can make it up to you. I really do feel bad."
I managed to make eye contact with this boy for a split second and my heart just melted. He had the most gorgeous hazel colored eyes and this cute cheeky smile. His cheeks were painted in a rosy pink and he had perfect teeth.
No, this is not love at first sight but it was close enough. He seemed perfect in every way possible, and he seemed to have notice that I thought so.
"Are you okay?" He let out a soft chuckle.
I felt my cheeks grow warm and I couldn't help but smile back. "Oh yeah, I'm fine. Thanks."
"So," he said as we both stood up throwing away our soggy napkins. "How about I buy you a cup of coffee and we can sit down and talk for a little?" His smile never left his face and neither did mine. Nothing about this was awkward, it was kinda sweet.
"I would love that."

The more that I looked at him to more familiar he grew to me. I just couldn't quite figure out who he reminded me of.
"I'm Justin, by the way." He said holding out his hand for me to shake.
Justin... Bieber? I thought to self. No freaking way.
"I'm Carla." I replied shaking his hand.
I had these crazy thoughts about what I should do or say, but I never acted on any of them. I didn't want to be the typical fan girl who got in his face and treated him like something I have never seen before. I kept my calm and continued on talking to him like I had before I realized who he actually was.
We finally ordered our coffee and sat in a booth across from each other.
"You live here?" He asked as he took a sip of his warm drink.
"No, just staying for Christmas time. Today is my first day and I'm staying for the month."
He nodded his head and set his drink down.
"Visiting family?"
"Uhm, no. Just here in the big city all by myself."
"What? Why? Wouldn't you want to spend the holidays with your friends or family? It can't be much fun on your own." He seemed like he cared to hear what I had to say but that didn't mean I was going to open up to him right then and there.
"It would be nice to, I guess. It's kind of a complicated situation to say the least."
He held his cup on the table in between his hands and quietly looked down at his lap without a response. I didn't want it to get awkward so I kept the conversation going.
"What about you, what are you doing in New York?"
He looked back up at me and let out a soft breath.
"Well," he began. "Just taking a break from my work and thought I would come down here to visit for a little vacation."
Then it got quiet again. He went back to looking down at his lap.
"I-" I was interrupted but Justin who had a sudden look of curiosity on his face.
"You really don't recognize me?" He seemed almost upset that I hadn't brought up that I knew who he was.
"Excuse me?" I wasn't offended by anything just a little surprised that he would want me to bring up the fact I knew who he was and possibly make a big deal about it.
"I don't look familiar to you at all?" he restated his question.
I smiled and let out a small chuckle, "I know who you are."
"Really?"
"Really."
"Alright..then tell me, who am I?" He got so serious about this but I didn't think it was a big deal.
"You're Justin Bieber."
It got quiet again. These awkward silences were slowly killing me on the inside. I didn't know what to do or what to say to change the conversation so I too just kept quiet.
Justin stood up from the booth and looked down at me. He asked me what hotel I was staying at and to my surprise he was stating at the same one.
"How about we walk back to the hotel together and maybe hang out for a little? You don't have to if you don't want to I just thought it would be nice to have some company." He dug his hands in his pockets and I stood up form the booth.
"Yeah," I replied. "I wouldn't mind that."
