This is after Weirdmeggedon. Some mild swearing. Low key Billdip.Dipper awoke from another one of his strange dreams gasping for breath. "Why is this happening?" he whispered. He got out of bed to get a glass of water. Ugh, it was almost midnight. He didn't want yet another sleepless night. Not after what had been happening lately.
As he tiptoed downstairs he though about how they defeated Bill. 'Is it actually over? He always found a way to come back before...' He grabbed a glass and filled it up in the tap. 'I'll deal with it tomorrow.' He finished his water and went back to bed. 'Maybe I could get a few more hours in before I have to wake up.' He shut his eyes and almost instantly fell asleep.
In his dream he was stuck in the ruins of Weirdmeggedon. Bill's voice echoed around. "Ha! 'Defeated me'.", "Flat world with flat minds and flat ides!", "I'm just a being with answers...", "What do ya' say, Pinetree, wanna make a deal?"
Dipper covered his ears to block out Bill's voice which was rising to a pitch he couldn't take. Suddenly Bill popped into reality right in front of him. All sound stopped and the colors melted away. "Did ya' miss me?" He said as Dipper uncovered his ears. An astonished "Bill?" was all Dipper could muster. "You guessed it Pinetree! Judging by your dreams you DID miss me." If he had a mouth he would be smirking. That equilateral asshole.
"I did NOT miss you! Get out of my head, you jerk!" Dipper yelled. "But Pinetree, you're head is nice! It's a lot better than anyone else's I've been in." Bill whined. "I uhh I..." Dipper finally stuttered out. 'How am I supposed to respond to that?!? What is he doing?' "What are you up to Bill?" Dipper asked suspicious. Bill put his hands up in defense. "Nothing. Nothing! I swear. I was just wondering how my favorite meatsack was getting along after thinking I was dead." Bill replied.
'Favorite? I'm Bill's favorite? Stop Dipper. He's just trying to use you.' "Go away Bill." Dipper said. "Okay Pinetree, send away the being that cares about you most." Bill said barely more than a whisper. "Y- you don't. You're just trying to use me! You can't say I'm your favorite when no one else ever has!" Dipper ends in a yell and quickly covers his mouth. 'Stupid Bill. Stupid Dipper. Stupid stupid stupid.' was what was circling through his mind. Bill looks at him almost sad. "I just wanted you to know that I cared about you. At least before you left." Bill said with a sigh at the end.
"Bye Pinetree." Bill starts to drift away and vanishes. "Wait. Wait!" Dipper calls after him as he runs to catch up with the fading triangle.
"Dipper Dipper! Wake up bro bro!" He hears Mabel shout as his dream world falls to pieces. He wakes up face to face with Mabel. "Gah!" He yells and falls off the bed. "Come on Dipper you don't want to be late to breakfast on our last day!" Mabel said while dragging him to the door. "I'll be down in a minute." He said to her.
After getting dressed he went downstairs to eat breakfast. He wasn't really hungry, so he excused himself early. He glanced out the window to the forest. 'I wonder if his statue is out there?' He pondered. "I think I'm gonna go to the forest, to you know say goodbye." He said before leaving.
He looked back at the shack with appreciation, almost like it was the last time he would see it. Then started to wander through the forest. The fresh pine scent filled his lungs and he could hear small animals in the brush. He felt like he knew exactly where he was going even when he started to wander into a part he had never been in. He felt drawn to a spot in the forest. He came to a clearing where Bill's statue was settling in the soft Oregon earth. Strangely enough a pencil and paper sat before it. 'Did he leave these here?' Dipper thought as he picked up the pencil and paper. He took off his hat and looked at the pinetree on it and decided to set it over Bill's top hat. It looked like it actually belonged there. "Hold onto that." He glanced around before starting to draw the first thing that came to mind. As he finished his sketch of a rose he looked over at the Bill statue. He smiled. "Maybe you aren't so bad after all." He heard his family calling his name from a distance. He set down the paper at Bill's feet before running off to meet his family.
In a plane overlapping Gravity falls a demon watches a boy leave to join his family. He pulls a sketch of a rose off a piece of paper in front of a statue molded to his likeness. "Maybe I'm not." He says as he sniffs the rose, gazing at the gap in the trees where the boy dissappeared.
